This thread is a burst of inaccurate and unsupported speculation?

I mean, what other conclusions are we to draw?

No, but some people (here and certainly elsewhere) take the fact that he's passed his SAT as meaning he's good to go and are probably celebrating the fact he'll be here and practicing with the team soon.

A reporter for the OWH reported in a published news article that, following a tweet from Tai's brother, there was a "burst."

What was the burst?  What does he mean by "burst"?  A "burst" of "speculation."  What was the burst of speculation?

Because if he's talking about US here at HHC, then I would argue strenuously that none of us has really said what he says we said.

What other burst would there be?  Huh?

Has anyone on this thread -- or any other thread that you've seen -- jumped to the conclusion that Tai has boarded a plane to fly to Nebraska already?

I hate the way the traditional media types seem to condescend to people on message boards.  And they do.

My source says SAT has nothing to do with it. The clearinghouse has to decide whether or not to allow his credits to transfer.

Is this a different source than the source that said that university admissions wasn't budging?

I have sources all over the globe B) . I want Tai here badly, but there is no reason to throw a party until he is enrolled.

It seems it would have something to do with it.  Otherwise, why the hell did he keep taking the SAT?

It takes a combination of SAT and High School grades in order to qualify to play for the NCAA (and to get into Nebraska).  The lower the grades, the higher the SAT required and vice versa.  Essentially Tai has put together the right set of numbers for Nebraska to believe that Tai is good with the NCAA.

However, if the NCAA decided that the school credits didn't apply, I would guess that Tai would have to take some prep class school here (or somehow ace the SAT).  Do I have all of this right so far?

While the credits may be the ultimate hurdle with the NCAA, you wouldn't even get there without the SAT.  Hyperbolicly speaking, the SAT has everything to do with anything.

And I have dimples on my backside, but when I am wrong I admit it.  Could something still happen?  Sure but the hurdle you were claiming would trip him seems to have been cleared.

Am I your source? Because that's essentially what I said to kickstart this whole discussion earlier in this topic ;) The SAT does have something to do with it, as do core courses. It's part of the great process that is the NCAA Clearinghouse. What's funny about it is some of the dumbest most talented 5 stars in America who only plan to spend one year in college before the NBA can probably get into college easier than foreign kids who take education seriously but are trying to play catch up on the exact classes they need to transfer over.
