New Name

Hey, I just realized we may have to change the name of HHC away from the Devaney Dungeon.  I kind of like the Dungeon, but does the name still fit?  What are some ideas that we can float by the HHC staff?

 

Do we become the Redheads?  The Grateful Red?

Now, while I appreciate the imagery associated with the middle ages and castles and fantasies involving dragons and whatnot, it has always seemed like we have equated being a Husker BBall fan as something akin to being in prison, subject to frequent torture, and I believe we should have loftier aspirations now that we're crossing over the threshold of being a different program here.

 

I feel like we should take this opportunity with the program literally moving out of Devaney, and figuratively moving out of the Dungeon (by hopefully ending our woeful stretch with an infusion of talent and money into the program) to start to think about loftier goals than just the cellar of the conference standings.

 

I think it may as well be something simple, yet classy.  Something like "The Scarlet and Cream Room".  It doesn't have to be that, I'm just spitballing here, but I think you get my drift.

Hey - if there wasn't already a "blue hair" board locally with the name "underground", I would suggest changing to the "Husker Underground Forum" as I feel like we on this board are the ground swell, the roots of the program among all of those "fans" that have a passing interest or bandwagon interest in our basketball program.

Since alliteration seems to be the HHC forum preference, I suggest the following possibilities: Pinnacle Pinheads, 2. Pinnacle Pundits,3. Pinnacle Prognosticators. Also, wouldn't we all prefer to be on a pinnacle instead of a dungeon for the future? And to make it even better, maybe Pinnacle bank might be persuaded to make a modest contribution to HHC for the free advertising.
