Bugeaters1 Posted March 16 Author Report Posted March 16 Shannon just would not take no for an answer today. That's because the ref let him Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk Quote

big red22 Posted March 16 Report Posted March 16 (edited) Look I am not going to blame the refs for the loss, but I am going to blame them for the change in game flow. - 55-40 17:28 Left - 10:15 Second mark the score was 66-63 - 10:15 Foul Count was 9 Fouls on Nebraska and 1 on Illinois - 10:15 Mark Juwan Gary got a away from the ball foul called on him for his 4th foul You can say Nebraska still had the lead and controlled their own destiny so the refs really did not control anything. Well how about momentum? How about personal? How about playing nervous, because you think your going to continue to get screwed? The game ended with Nebraska with 11 fouls and 9 on Illinois. Doesn't seem odd Nebraska gets 9 fouls called on them between the 17:28 mark and the 10:15 mark... you know the time during the run that Illinois made the game close? Then when the momentum shifted Illinois chipped away at the foul count. Big 10 refs are an ABSOLUTE JOKE Edited March 16 by big red22 roscoe, Vinny, NUtball and 1 other 4 Quote

But please carry on with your enlightened takes about the foul disparity. True, but who shot most of the Illini’s free throws? He got there by attacking the rim. Did he get away with some offensive fouls? Probably. I can’t control the officiating. Quote

Judging by how gassed everyone looked by the end of the game I'd say it's likely that whatever bug he (and Brice) has has been going through the guys. Hopefully they can all get through it and be 100% for next week. NUtball, Silverbacked1, basketballjones and 1 other 1 3 Quote

My own goal now will be to last longer than them in the NCAA tournament. But that's just me-and some sour grapes. I’ll take some of those grapes. I do not like Underwood at all. And Hawkins can pound sand. They gave him so much rope with the mouthing he was doing during timeouts. He deserved a T when he was literally in our huddle. Quote

hskr4life Posted March 16 Report Posted March 16 I’m mad. I don’t handle losses well. But I was just sitting here wracking my brain whether we’ve done enough for a 7 seed. And then I had to smile. I’m frickinf wondering if we did enough for a 7 seed. Not whether we’d even get in or whether the NIT would take us. special season indeed and I just had to sit back and smile HuscurAdam, Swan88, HuskerBB and 3 others 1 1 4 Quote

I got there before you though; I had made my peace with whatever happened before the game even started today. When you step back and look at it today was absolutely the definition of gravy. And we really looked like we belonged there. It's mind boggling to me to think we were playing for seeding in the dance today. At the beginning of the season I was going to be happy with an NIT berth. Vinny, HuscurAdam, Haymarket Husker and 1 other 1 3 Quote
