I came here to post this. How amazing would that be??

Let me dream for a second because it’s on a bracketology. But this would help ensure Nebraska wins since they are “national champs” at home.

I don’t know man…I’ve seen enough movies to start feeling like Creighton would find ways to mess with us.  Put up like booby traps and stuff to ensure we don’t win our first game on their home court.  Like home alone style booby traps.

All I know is those tickets would be extremely expensive lol.

Lunardi’s latest bracket… I’d take this all day, every day.

I’d love to get a crack at Kansas, if they were to get by Green Bay… That’s a big if this year. Eastern Illinois and Yale both had Kansas on the ropes in Allen Fieldhouse earlier this year. When Kansas was fully healthy.

It is a way, however, to differentiate teams with similar resumes though.  It's a valid tool to help determine whether a team is in or out over its peers and can also help with the seeding process.

still makes no sense to me. we would not be any better of a team if we had if 2 extra home losses but had 2 more road wins.

I must agree, particularly if you remove their best all around player. However, that is true of most teams. At least Self was able to avoid the mental stress from watching the debacle by exiting the arena early last night.

Self was screaming, "You're chicken sh**!" and "That's F****** chicken sh**!" all game long at the official. Then looked reporters right in the eye after the game and said, "I didn't yell or curse at them."

Coach Jones and Radio got flagged for the exact same thing in the Hannah High football game.  Dude should have paid more attention and known you can’t do that.

Gotta feel for the officials sometimes, man. They get 95% of calls correct. But everyone hates them and the coaches get to say things to them no grown man would say to another person in any other setting then go cry victim to the media while the refs can't retaliate or defend themselves whatsoever. They are like Batman.

i talked to an individual in the know. he said tominaga is nebraska's golden ticket to a tourney birth and that his international fame will be enough to put nebraska in over other fringe tourney teams.

Yep, contrary to what some think, the powers that be will look for any good reason to include Nebraska in March madness this year. Entertaining guards on potential Cinderellas are what creates the madness in March.  The storylines of Tominaga, Hoiberg and Nebraska never winning a tourney game all work in our favor. Having one of the better fan bases in college sports probably helps too.
We still have to take care of business down the stretch.

Obviously, Self is practicing for a career in politics after he retires.

Maryland up to 75 in NET. For the first time that L turns into Q1. Personally not a fan of that. Our Q1 record (3-6) is now probably a knock against us. The upside is we’re above .500 in Q2 now.

Man we it’d be nice if K-State jumped in there!

At Ohio St is our last chance for a Quad 1 win. Pray that they win enough to stay top 75 while still losing to us.

They’ll be dogs in their next three, and possibly against us as well. Hopefully they can win at Minnesota because we don’t want to see them damage our best two wins by beating Purdue or Michigan State.

Kansas St plays at home against TCU tonight.  A win and they likely jump a few spots into the top 75

I’m not thinking that Q1 record is a knock against us personally.  The more important thing for us is the number in the Q1 W column, not the Q1 L column.

Oklahoma, Alabama, Miss St, TCU, Alabama, Villanova, Utah all have the same Q1 record.

Yeah. And here's the deal. Right now, we have 3 Quad 1 wins. IF (I know, your aunt's balls and all that) KSU jumps back in AND Ohio St stays there and we pick up that dub, we potentially could get to 5 Quad 1 wins. THAT would be a resume, presuming we also win out at home, where we'd talk more about seeding than bubbles.

I do think Q1 wins are a little more important than the overall Q1 record. But Oklahoma State went 6-12 last year and missed out.

But you’ve swayed me a bit. Looking at the bubble teams from the last two years, a 33% Q1 win percentage is kind of middle of the road. Not a knock but also not a positive.

It’s definitely not “good” by any means.  Like you said… it just isn’t “bad”.  It also helps when those Q1 wins are Purdue, Wisco, etc and not some slack road game in the Big West or something like that.

Question: Those teams that have a 33% Q1 win rate and don't get in, do they also have some bad losses they're carrying?

We have zero Q4 or Q3 losses. That's unusual for us.
