...but this was a bull crap game tonight.  We did not show up to play.  You have to show up, even if you are tired, and play your hearts out.  This torks me off.  If the starters don't want to play, then clear the bench

I would love to see Miles clear the bench right now.  What else do we have to lose?

Give the guys a rest (they need it) and get the other dudes some much-needed court time.

This game has been over for some time.

I agree that Wisconsin is excellent, and they played well, but if anyone believes we gave our best or even an average effort tonight must have been watching a different game than me.  We were beaten to spots, we got out-hustled for loose balls, we set weak screens, we did not close out on shots, and we simply looked to be going through offensive motions rather than busting our butts.  Again, I take nothing away from the game Wisconsin played, but our performance tonight was underwhelming.

One thing I forgot to mention in report card was, for as tired as we looked, I was a bit surprised we took all of our second half timeouts home with us. Though in Miles' defense, I just wanted this damn game over with (and quickly), too.

I'm with you cwg.  Terrible passing too.  Some of the turnovers were just plain embarassing.  What was up with Ray on that one traveling call?  Looked like he was drunk.

We hurt ourselves the most when the other team is making 3's.  Seems like once they get one Talley HAS  to take it down and jack up a terrible 3 to try and get it back.  Drives me crazy.

I may be in the minority here, but this was expected for me. I wasn't surprised in the least. We're human, cwg, and we aren't good. They battled their hearts out and got an emotional win at home on Saturday with the 5 starters playing all 20 minutes of the second half. For a team like us, it takes everything we have just to get a single win.

They flew to Wisconsin on Monday, practiced Monday night, and got right back to playing today. Meanwhile, Wisconsin hasn't played since last Wednesday, almost a full week off. And they just killed Ohio State too.

Sorry to sound abrasive, but to expect anything even average from our guys tonight was probably a stretch. We are tired, we have no depth, and we ran into a team that started, what, 7 of 9 from long range? We were in it until they drained a bunch of 3s on us. Of course we knew we were out of it by then. I don't think for a second that our guys "didn't show up" or "didn't want to play"...we had a lead early on and had our spirit crushed when they couldn't miss. It happens when you have no depth. Onward and upward.

It was expected from me too, but even if you are tired, you have to give more effort.  The worst case was when Talley lost the ball, and he stopped, instead of challenging the dunk.  That kind of play ticks me off no matter how tired you are.

Ray has logged a lot of minutes, the shot is gone and long gone.

Not sure if it is lost, but there is mix of inconsistency and horrible forced shots

It's never been there except 2 games this year

Ray hasn't been a consistent shooter in 3 years.

I was just able to see the game for the first time this morning.  DVR's are one of modern technology's greatest gifts.

This was as pathetic an effort as I can remember.  Even with the current deficiencies in our roster, I don't understand not giving enough effort on the defensive end to at least compete with the opponent.

They have to do better at that one word IMO.  Compete.  Compete.  Compete.  I would be ashamed if the opponent I was guarding was raining down threes on my head at that kind of clip.  Going under screens and avoiding contact when hedging and being indecisive should and will get you blown out in the B1G on many nights.  There are some prolific 3-point shooters in this conference.  They'd better find a fire within themselves to defend those shooters with an urgency.  This is something that even the most severely talent-lacking, athletic-deprived players can learn to do.  And we're certainly not hurting that bad in those areas.

Disappointed for sure.
