also...........a little surprised by Donarski not announcing by now. i thought when she entered the portal, she had a pretty good idea where she was going.

I just read on the vb site that Lauren Ware is following a number of nebraska athletes. Does it mean anything? Who knows. No idea if she is still wanting to play vb and bb.

Could it be that the whole existing roster is staying put? That would be a rarity in today’s college basketball world. Seems like that would reflect a great vote of confidence on the part of the players for Amy’s staff and the outlook of her program moving forward. If that’s the case, I applaud Amy and her willingness to make adjustments.

I believe that today is the last day that a NCAA women's basketball athlete can enter the portal.  If we haven't heard anything by midnight, then the entire last year team (Brady & Dillard ???) has decided to stay put.  As Neb Nets points out, that is quite a tribute to the culture and morale within the program.

Well, if the cutoff is May 11, you wouldn’t think any NU player would wait this long to declare that she’s transferring. I can’t see the point in that.

Brady and Dillard would not be a part of the active roster, and Dillard may graduate with another degree by August

Sam, do you have an opinion, why so little Husker WBB info, makes it to newspapers or websites?  Thank you for mentioning Brady and Dillard.  Nothing but crickets regarding them, for some time.

Any more details emerge about Lauren? I’ve been checking online all week, still no announcement from her. 
Hopefully she fully recovers from the knee injury that kept her sidelined this past season.

Agreed. In the past 30 years, anytime there has been a “super team” assembled in the NBA with the sole intent on collecting an easy ring, yes, sometimes those teams win the title, but they also often don’t win the title. The team chemistry is often lacking on those teams. Then again, Kim Mulkey might be good enough to get all those egos on the same page and get them to play together.

NIL fiasco....

 

Read something interesting today about the PAC 12 losing players to the portal. Lots of movement away from the Pac 12 by good players. 

A couple of coaches seemed to "think" their player was being offered big NIL money...maybe even before they go to portal. ...say it ain't so.

 

Stanford has lost last years no.1 "pick' to UCLA, and UCLA just got the transfer of pick no. 2 from last year. UCLA of course goes to B1G next year.  ....UCLA will be more than tough.

 

Maybe we aren't buying enough players ??
