    Makes me sad that Oregon St. & Washington St. just flat got left out in the cold during the mass exodus from the PAC 12 I don’t recognize this college sports world we’re living in anymore

    I think Cook deserves more money than Amy not only because of greater success on the court but also the fact that NU Volleyball is a revenue-generating sport and NU WBB is not.

    I agree that the arrival of the 2 California schools next year makes Amy’s job more challenging. 1 year and 9 months after the news was announced, and I still can’t wrap my brain around the fact that Nebraska will be in the same athletic conference as USC and UCLA. WHAT?!?! Crazy world that we’ve been thrust into.

    HUD, I could have sworn that when Jaz had her first triple double in Nov 2021, they made a big deal out of saying that one was the first in program history. My apologies if I was mistaken.

    Clark on pace to record another triple double today. She has had 17 triple doubles in her career. How big of a deal is a triple double? In November of 2021 when Jaz Shelley had a triple double against North Carolina Central, that was the first triple double In Nebraska WBB program history. In. Program. History.

    Unfortunately, in the last decade, most tall athletic high school girls in the state of Nebraska are gravitating towards volleyball and eschewing basketball. Don’t know if I see that trend reversing anytime soon.

    If only there was a way to force USC & UCLA to have to play us outdoors December through February. Lol That reminds me, do you think the USC & UCLA baseball and softball coaches are thrilled about their schools’ move to the B1G? I highly doubt it. Just wait until those Southern California creampuffs see what kind of garbage weather we can have here in March and April in Lincoln, Iowa City, Ann Arbor etc.

    Jaz, I just want to simply say thank you. The last 3 seasons have been a pleasure. Thank you so much for representing our university so well on and off the court.

    Meh, ran into a better team and had to play them on their home court in front of their fans. A tall order. Definitely progressed as a program this season compared to where we were a year ago. Offseason starts this week! Let’s build on this, coaches and players!

    Looking forward to being able to watch this one. Even if they lose today, they have far surpassed what they did last year when they went to the NIT and lost in the 2nd round. Good job, players and coaches! Keep the momentum going to take another step or two forward next season.

    Totally agree with you! Like I said before we played them in Lincoln last month, you take their best player off their team and take our best player (Jaz) off of our team, and we played each other straight up? I bet we beat them 3 outta 4 times.

    I won’t be able to watch this one til later today, but I’m very proud of our players and our coaches. 4 games in 4 days is damn tough. Oh and Iowa, we’ll see you next year when you don’t have your generational talent and you’re a beatable band of mortals again!

    Does anyone else think it’s ridiculous that the conference tournament CHAMPIONSHIP game is being played at 11:00 am on a Sunday morning? I mean, come on. And on the morning we skip ahead one hour, no less

    After watching the Class A final last night. I am all in on NU signing the Gessert twins. Was very impressed with them, particularly Neleigh. They look the part of Div 1 recruits, and to think they still have another year of high school b-ball to grow and develop! Let’s get them aboard, Amy & staff!

    Gotta wonder if for the rest of the season, White won’t be near 100% even if she does play. Wish the injury bug would leave us alone…haven’t we suffered enough losing Weidner two years in a row?

    Ha! Good point. I would never say she is worthless. I would only say that so far in her NU career, she has underachieved given the skills and physical tools that she possesses.

    Potts contributing 18 pts, 10 rebounds. She’s just sneaky good, you know what I mean? if Natalie wins Big Ten Freshman of the Year, then next year we will have 2 former Big Ten Freshman of the Years playing side by side in the paint. Pretty cool, if you ask me.
