I don't really hate it.  Might be a great kid and a great teammate.  He is just not what we need to be successful in the Big 10.  If he dropped down to say Kearney I would love it.

Ali Ali wouldn't be bad. His rebounding at his size is a bit worrisome, but if the team can rebound as a whole better, I'm ok.

Also, this answers my question I've had for a while. I knew we had to address the 4 in some capacity and all they've contacted were guards prior to today. Howard must have had an idea of who he wanted. Stevens and Ali are both great starts.

The deadline for underclassmen is April 24th.

The deadline for underclassmen who want to maintain eligibility to pull out is June 1st.

 

I'm not sure if Trey McGowens or Lat Mayan are considered underclassmen.

So this would mean my theoretical pipe dream of Baylor Scheierman transferring here gets more complicated I presume?  He would have to have enough feedback by May 1 to know the draft is not for him and enter portal and have a destination by May1.   I did not take his message when he declared to mean he would be back at SD St. if he did not go pro.  Anyone know when the bulk of the NBA feedback typically happens?

I’ve heard it’s either SDSU or NBA. Much like Daum.

not sure how going back there would improve his stock, if they don't think he is good enough now.  he already has been best two years in a row.  Would have to be again, and hope something changed minds.
