Indiana at 15-14, 6-12 is talking bubble. How f-ed up is it that we can't even get into that conversation considering our non-conference achievements and our win in Bloomington?

On Edit: Very f-ed, and we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Indiana defeated both Wisc & MSU this week in a total of 3 OT's... also beat MSU earlier. Swept a top ten team. Yeah, and they're the Hoosiers with a potential top 5 NBA pick in Romeo Langford.

The fact that prior to this week the Hoosiers had as *equally deficient in 2019* as NU is a narrative long gone.

Really admire what pikell has going on a Rutgers right now. Imo what he is building there is basically the same blue print we are gonna have to use here to get things going in the right direction.

dude's going to get a lot of votes for CoY. Might get it outright.

One major benefit he has going for him is the plethora of talent at or near his doorstep.  Of course one negative is the relative apathy of the fan base.  That will (and somewhat is) change as the program continues to build momentum.

jayskers with a big win. If they somehow make it in, that’ll make me nauseous. Unlikely though. In fact if any bubble team makes it that we beat earlier, just adds insult to injury.

Big Eat is pretty down this season and the Jays are close to the bottom of it. It's a good win, true. But it's not putting them in the tourney. Of all of our "big wins" from non-conf, I think only Seton Hall has a chance of squeaking into the tourney still. I admit I stopped following these things once it became obvious that NU was a tire fire that wasn't going to get put out, so even Seton Hall might be out of it by now.

Would you rather we just beat teams who don't get selected into the tournament? That's what kept us out of the Dance last year.

Creighton has two games left (both home) against two teams below them. If they take care of business at home that makes them 19-12 going in to the conference tourney.

Considering how weak the bubble is this year, all they might need to do is win one in their conference tourney to get in.

*fyi not sure how their resume stacks up*

certainly possible. beating marquette on the road is a pretty big feather. way better than anything we have.

but the Jays haven't exactly been world beaters at home, either. so we'll see.

It seems to fit the mold. Creighton was lacking some Q1 wins prior to tonight compared to the other bubble teams, but if they close out the rest of the season strong they seem to have a chance to slide their way into the tournament.

Creighton is currently 16 - 13 so if they win their last 2 games (which they should), it puts them at 18 - 13 instead of 19- 12.  If they win a couple games in the Big East tournament, they could finish the year at 20 - 14.  They are like NU last year, they don't really have any quality wins on their resume though but they could still be in the conversation to get in.  Heck, this might be a year that Creighton and UNO both get in and NU don't make any post season.  Wouldn't that be a kick in the groin.

Shows how closely I follow them ??

Either way, with how weak the bubble is this year they can at the very least play their way in to the first four out category.

Some brackets already have them listed as next 4 out right now so they can easily play their way in (which sucks).  Even with our 7 game losing streak, if we would have finished the job and beat Minnesota and Maryland on the road like we should have, we'd probably still be in the field right now.  Amazing what a difference a game or two can do to your season.

Like KU last season. Can't afford to take a lot of games off anymore.

According to the committee it is 15 - 13, as the game against Coe College does not count in the record the committee receives, IIRC.  They are Division III.
