Agree.  Pulling for Tai, and his parents who encouraged him to perservere.  And I hope it happens for the non-millennials, non post-modernists, and non moral relativists.

Tai was a kid that was willing to work and get better.  He didn't take his ball and go home when things got tough or didn't go exactly as planned.  Not sure he is an NBA sleeper but with his work ethic he might just do it.

He had a dad who did that work to become a legend in the New Zealand League, so Tai maybe had that work ethic showen him and actually born into his DNA with both mom and dad.

 

But this is really cool.

Geesh.  I guess I'm going to have to take a Philosophy class if I'm going to keep up with the dialogue of this forum.  Getting pretty sophisticated for my liking.

I listened to a podcast about Tai talking about his dream of getting into the NBA before his junior year thinking....No way.

I still think it's a long shot but today is the first time I've ever thought about it where the answer isn't "impossible". A testament to how far he's come and how much further he can probably go.

I think the guy can be a legit back up point guard in the league.   At 6'4" he has ideal PG size.   He's ran the point in international play before.

He'll be able to defend at the NBA level, I think. He's always been able to get to the rim, so if he can make the adjustment and finish there, he'll give himself a chance. He's a good not great free throw shooter and will need to improve his outside shot. If he can do that, he could be a nice role player.

If Tai gets drafted over Andrew White I will be happier than I can describe.

I know players in HS and college put in a lot of time in order to play at a high level; but pros live basketball.  The time and effort he will be able to put into his game moving forward should increase significantly.

I don't understand?  According, to those in the know, Miles is the biggest prick in the coaching business.   I thought all the players want to get as far away from him as possible? 

 

Tai seemed to be a fan favorite,  and I hope he gets to the League.

Love Tai.  He's one of my top 3 favorite Huskers, along with Maric and Shields (which tells you I'm not old enough to remember the Ty Lue days).

Morrow, Horne, and Jacobson apparently didn't learn anything about work ethic or perseverance in their time with Tai. My respect for Tai grows by the day! I hope he gets his shot at the NBA.
