Is it too late to get on Simisola Shittu's list?

If ever there was a time to be on someone's Shittu list, this would be it.

Well, if Gregor Fucka has a kid, we should go after him and the Shittu kid.

(I hope that somebody put a joke on Gregor Fucka's Wikipedia page and that his nickname wasn't actually "Uncle".)

I know we haven't recruited many juco big men recently but I always think back to a guy like Derrick Chandler and wonder why we don't. Are they as hard or harder to identify and sign as the hs kids?

Seems as though the transfer market has greatly diminished juco recruiting.

Juco recruiting got big after Prop 48 went into effect in 1986, when a lot of really good players couldn't get qualified.

Over the next 10 years, kids became increasingly aware of academic qualification rules and some of them realized it's best to buckle down and get qualified in HS.  Others started attending prep schools to give them an extra year or so to get qualified without getting their college eligibility clocks started.

What the passage of Prop 48 did for jucos, the rise of prep school basketball power houses took away.

I havent heard much wind with any of these guys to be honest. If we don't land any of the 3 of Roberts, Hunter Jr, and Johnson.. we could be in trouble

Or else we win this year and attract new guys or else we don't win and we get a new coach who brings in new guys or we do the same deal where we just find new guys. There is no end to new guys.

We've managed to bring in high levels of talent while constantly losing guys could be in trouble if we lose these guys

I've compiled some information on the players listed in @hhcdimes's post above, using Verbal Commits and 247 Sports as resources.

For each player, this document includes:

- Star ranking

- Height & weight

- Hometown

- Visit dates (if any)

- Narrowed list of considered schools (if any)

- Links to Verbal Commits & 247 Sports profiles

Notes:

- Grayson Carter not included (per 247 Sports, we have not offered a scholarship)

- Kevin Easley is included (recently decommited from VCU, unofficially visited NU last year)

- David Wingett included as "Other Player of Interest"

Nah,  It's just a Friday starting a week-end before the Eclipse!  Jordy's just Happy to be Alive and is teaching his teammates '"HOW TO   :Dancer:!"

It wasn't Jordy's tweet, though. Someone else, specifically Nebraska basketball's twitter account, tweeted a picture of Nebraska basketball players, including Jordy, dancing after a win last year.  And the caption says it is a big-time weekend in the 402, and let's go get it.

Might not mean anything at all. But it certainly isn't just about Jordy dancing.

Sigh!   I'll never master all this new technology.
