I think the big man argument is extremely overblown look at who is still playing who is winning games, guard play is much more important.

Not any one here would argue we need another guard or small forward that can shoot lights out.  However, will say it again, it would be nice to have a big down low that can defend 1 on 1 so we don't leave shooters open.

But it's a system.  The moving parts function as a whole, right?

When our guards are having to run inside to double the post, they're leaving us exposed to a team shooting lights out from beyond the arc.  Our guards can't be in two places at one time, right?  So, they're either guarding their man on the perimeter or they're inside doubling the post, but they're not both places.  So, when we throw the double team, it creates challenges for our guards to recover and close out on shooters.

A good big man can make a team's guards look pretty good because of what he forces the defense to do to account for him.

Norm, we will be signing at least 2 guys. I like how the jhordy cards are being played as of now. If he doesn't make it to campus, then it won't turn out good. I feel we will get a transfer big of some sort this time offseason too. The transfer development may take even longer than jhordy.

Not if it's a grad transfer.  If it's a grad transfer, there better not need to be any development, or what's the point?

I hopy you're right about Jordy.  And I hope you're right about a grad transfer.

And, truth be told, I wouldn't mind another Anton Gill sitting out a year on our bench next season in addition to the above.

I was with a few of my UK friends in Boston this weekend.  Supposedly (and mind you these are people connected with UK) Louisville is legitimately concerned its self imposed sanctions were not sufficient, and the NCAA may impose at least another year of sanctions.  If that is the case, the mysterious Louisville transfer may be available to play immediately as the NCAA has waived the transfer rules in similar instances in the past.

BTW, I keep hearing rave reviews of Gill next year.

This is what I think the mystery man is waiting to see what happens. If he doesn't have to sit out and can play immediately he will head elsewhere.

I think golfer is the kind of poster some people love to hate.  If I wanted a troll to come back, I would give them lots of thumbs down.  If I wanted him to disappear, I would ignore him.

But it is a true art and takes masterful skills to get to -100 or even -25 with one post. One can only appreciate this art of you look at it from a backwards kind of angle.

Golfer3 probably liked getting his teeth kicked in on a Friday night in his formative years.

Just curious, is there a way to find out what the most negative reps one post has gotten.

Not sure, but let's just say I'd be willing to bet you my left kidney that I know who earned it.

Oh idk... I might take a golfer swing on someone different...

Another question:  Can anyone explain to me what the sentence, "Everything is starting to line" even means?

is it redneck for everything is starting to a line?

I still remember the original board that used Karma, and nustudent, who wasn't a troll, often had karma scores of around -30.

Unfortunately, there is no Exalt or Smite ... er, Up and Down buttons on mobile to contribute to golfer's impressive golf score.

I never thought about it that way.  Kind of ironic huh.  A golfer wants to be -(insert score here).  So really... in a golfers terms... he is doing flipping amazing.  Maybe he honestly thinks this is a good thing.

nustudent got bad karma scores for making frank observations that some people don't like to hear.  I know he wouldn't exactly like this comparison, but he is the Lee Barfknecht of HHC.  That's a complement, nustudent, coming from me anyway.

I've mentioned this before but I would like to share again. I studied Journalism under the same Superior High teacher as Lee B. That connection aside, he has always been one of my favorite writers. There are times yes, when I wince reading some of his columns regarding the Basketball program, but it's because what he's usually saying is true and I don't like to be reminded. I think he is firm yet fair and I am glad he is the B1G beat writer.
