Report reply Norm Peterson 14,309 Posted October 6, 2015 Ah, Maine. Blueberry muffins, lobsters wrapped in newspapers, and Red Sox every day on the old black and white tv. Those were the days. That's Gene Hackman. Your new avatar, I recognize him. Am I the first? Ah, the year of the Gene! Well, it can't be any worse than the year of Walt, now can it? Other than running out of Genes sooner. The "Gene" pool is wide open. Silverbacked1 1 Quote Share this comment

Report reply Huskerpapa 9,242 Posted October 7, 2015 I believe I took a photo a month ago or so at that same exact location. Cool. That said, this very well may be a very fun year. I like this team, and it sure sounds like Coach Miles likes them as well. FWIW, I'm four states short of that goal myself. Alaska, Hawaii, Washington and Louisiana. Help me out here cwg (or jimmykc)...even though I've lived up there and toured around Maine extensively I can't quite make the location in the photo. Is it on MDI? Also, FWIW, for anyone who HASN'T ever been to Maine you are missing out on one of the most beautiful states in the country and should do everything in your power to try to visit sometime. Looks very much like Two Lights State Park near Portland Maine. 49r 1 Quote Share this comment
Report reply jimmykc 4,798 Posted October 7, 2015 And I'm guessing the lighthouse is the one at Portland head although the one at Pemiquid point is the only one I ever actually visited. And remember, I haven't been there since we used to drink Naragansett beer before it became Samuel Adams. Quote Share this comment
