hhcmatt Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 Power forward Kansas City, Missouri Barstow AAU: KC Run GMC 6'6" 220lb Red Don and Norm Peterson 1 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 Oooh. I kinda like this kid. A little undersized, but some swagger. Reminds me of the video I saw of Will Harris about 10 years ago. Similar size; similar build; similar-appearing game. That kid was a Rivals 4-star and the #90 player in the country. Quote
Swan88 Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 Robin Washut recently posted an in-depth article on Jeriah Horne. It's a premium article and well-worth the price of admission. Here's the last line of the article, a quote from Horne: "I am definitely going to give Nebraska a look." Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted July 30, 2015 Report Posted July 30, 2015 BTW this is a Gregory Eaton connection for him and Ballock here for those wondering how hes been doing on the recruiting trail. bobcat402, Red Don, hhcmatt and 3 others 6 Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted July 30, 2015 Report Posted July 30, 2015 I don't how much leg hair he has, but dude looks like he is in his late 20's in that picture. Quote

AuroranHusker Posted August 4, 2015 Report Posted August 4, 2015 That's an interesting final six... Seeing that photo, the 'P' for Pepperdine threw me for a loop... "odd man out" as the other 5 are Midwestern schools. Quote
Swan88 Posted August 4, 2015 Report Posted August 4, 2015 Here is a report from a Kansas State message board poster on Jeriah Horne: Saw Horne play in 2 and a half games on Saturday . . . it is very tough to categorize him as he is a versatile and multi-skilled player, I think that will serve him very well at the high major level. I do believe the 6'6" 220 measurements for him are accurate. When operating on the block he knocked down a few nice jump hooks out to about 7 ft and finished a couple reverse layups in heavy traffic. He does have a good faceup jumper and I saw him hit 3 3's on the day and when a defender crowds him on the perimeter (usually a big), he does have the ability to put the ball on the floor, get to the rim and finish. He's also got a nice feel and court vision for passing the ball, he plays unselfishly and looks for open teammates. He did try to force a few passes that just weren't there or he was a little off target, but overall, his good passing ability is an aspect of his game that I was glad to see. He is not a tremendously quick or explosive athlete, but when matched with opposing 4s and 5s (this is primarily what I saw him guard) he does a good of anticipating passes and getting into the passing lane, resulting in multiple deflections and steals. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty or throw his weight around in the paint, but I wouldn't necessarily say physical play is his bread and butter. However, I do have to say that I was very impressed with the way he attacked consensus 4* 6'9" 250 Tyler Cook in the title game. Cook absolutely owned the paint in the semis (34 pts), but Horne took it right at him in the post and got him in foul trouble, which really kept Cook a non-factor in that title game. Run GMC came up a little short against the St Louis Eagles, 60-53, but Horne battled hard, got to the line a lot, and finished with 16 pts. Norm Peterson, trickey and hhcmatt 3 Quote

TheKamdyMan Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 Pepperdine has the prettiest campus, Looks right over the ocean. My agent went to law school there and showed me the campus on the way to his home in Calabasas. I can see how it would be enticing for a student to want to attend that institution. Quote
HuskerCager Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 Pepperdine has the prettiest campus, Looks right over the ocean. Meh. That can't compare with a campus that overlooks Salt Creek. atskooc, HB, Silverbacked1 and 1 other 4 Quote

Seriously. Step right outside the front doors of Hendricks and you get that beautiful view of Antelope Valley and the creek of salt flowing through it. I think that's why they built the practice facility on that side of Devaney. Quote
Red Don Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 And 'Little Venice' (when it floods ) Maybe that's the trick, keep it flooded! Silverbacked1 1 Quote

TheKamdyMan Posted August 25, 2015 Report Posted August 25, 2015 Easily my 1A left on the board followed closely by 1B Arlando Cook. I feel we have a much greater chance of getting Horne for several reasons. bobcat402 1 Quote
bobcat402 Posted August 25, 2015 Report Posted August 25, 2015 i wouldnt mind seeing him and morrow share the frontcourt in some small ball lineups Quote
