" We have met the enemy and he is us." Pogo Possum

lol I wonder how many here know who this is.

Me, me, me i do. Didn't understand it till the stopped making it. :)

Me too.  My dad had a stack of Pogo comic books from when he was a kid and so I was able to read them when I was a kid.

Apparently there's a recording of Miles saying he doesn't want TP back.

Bingo. The worms are escaping out of the can. Do we need to shut down the thread now or is everyone on board with 'going there'?

I don't feel it is appropriate to go there at this point.  Things can be taken out of context from time to time.

I heard he is coming back. doesn't want to end his college career on a sour note and that the timing isn't right to go pro.

I hope you're right.  Come back and do something thats never been done before Terran.  Win an NCAA tourney game.  We'll be talking about you for years to come.

I say this with 100% confidence that the NU staff DOES want TP back at NU.  Any other rumors are complete nonsense.  And I have heard this from the horse's mouth.

I don't want to be that "message board rumor guy" but let's just say I have some very good information to this and I will leave it at that.

Thank you bball!! Love when the good news breaks. Any clue as to when the news will break?

  I think he is saying the coaches all Wanted TP back;  not that Terran Was coming back!  But this should put to rest any rumor that he is being encouraged to move-on!

Hurry on back, Terran!  nod.gif

(didn't want to be an echo, HB - see you beat me by a minute :( )

Correct. I know for sure the coaches do want him back. He is going to discuss all options with his family and then make a decision. I for one really hope that decision is one more year at NU. I know for a fact that the coaches are hoping he comes back for his senior season.

He needs to get the best information on his professional status possible.  It probably is not going to end well on that information.  He can clean up his game a little, play with a more complete team, and then have his epic run in the dance potentially.  That is how he can impactfully move up a draft board, or get on a draft board.  Come back and close this out with an NCAA tourney win, just like he came here to do.

Look at RJ Hunter (Georgia St) stats and compare to Petteway...

Hunter is capitalizing in the Tourney hype and leaving early.  He has essentially the same stats as Petteway, but is a much better FT shooter (this year at least).  Most people would argue that Petteway putting up the same stats in the Big 10 against better competition would make him a better pick.  I know there is much more than stats and did not watch any of Hunter's play this year other than the nice game winner in the tourney.

As others have said, last year was the year to leave.  Unfortunately, the negative buzz around the team this year isn't going to reflect well on Petteway's draft hopes.
