Just realized that i missed a message that uneblistu wasn't going to be at a computer tonight.

- A lot of energy tonight from the Huskers and the crowd. Chalk that up to 8 day break + students.

- End of the first half was a sign of things to come.  Missed 3 pointer plus foul shots due to Petteway jumping over a guy = only a 9 point lead

- Nebraska had 17 turnovers - 14 came from Biggs and Petteway.  During the post game Miles joked it was like they were in a turnover contest

- Biggs was definitely a spark in the first half of the game...he had some big time shots to help us to that first half lead.

- Aaron Craft was involved in the two key moments of the second half as David Rivers's block on him and Shavon Shields drawing an offensive foul on Craft

- Huskers completely neutralized Amir Williams tonight.  Was held to 4 points.

- Big drought to start the second half....I'll take that over the end of the second half.

- How to tell you run a hack radio show?  If one of your segments is on whether or not the Huskers should have stormed the court.

- Shavon Shields looked more like FGCU Shavon

- Rivers back in the rotation = fresher legs at the end of the game

- Can we get someone to huddle up Petteway or give him a hug after he has a bad play?  It's one thing to be hard on yourself...it's other if it leads to another bad play.

Other than ten minutes in the middle of this game...it was a tremendous effort and what a fine win.  I am not a fan of rushing the floor, but I look at it more of a meeting at the middle of the floor to celebrate the first of many of these victories.

Glad to see David Rivers back in the good graces and back on the floor.

Glad to see the students making a bit of a difference.

Glad to see Tai, who is looking better and better.

Glad to see the defense...

Glad to see a well run offense...

Glad to see the effort.

Not so glad to see the turnovers...predominately on Deverell and Terran.  But, with the bad came the good...from both of them.

And yes, Craft is certainly on my top ten list of most hated opponents.

With Biggs, things will never be boring!  He's always looking to make the play, and sometimes it leads to the other team having the ball.

- Had a good feeling about this game going in

- Tai started off the game really well, when he puts his head down and decides to go, he can usually make it

- Shields brought it tonight

- Biggs drilled some really tough shots tonight, especially in the first half.

- Heck of a run in late 1st half. got to the rim with ease

- Start of second half seemed so dead for some reason. No one was yelling.

- Rough start of 2nd half for Petteway

- Not really a huge fan of Biggs, Parker, and Webster on the court at once, but I guess we just needed to handle the ball.

- Petteway hits a HUGE three at the end of the shot clock to take the top off rim.

- Rivers played great defense. Really happy Coach gave him another chance

- Those two little floaters by Petteway were so sexy

- Free throws from Tai! Free throws from Tai!

- Storming the court was a freaking blast! Maybe we should have, but dangit it was fun!

Sorry, I still do not understand the "whiff" call on the intentional elbow.  Replays clearly shows contact.

Slowing it down hurt his cause.

Initially he was hit on a smaller elbow and by the time he reacted, a big elbow was coming up and he folded.  It ended looking like he whiffed on a big swipe.

Couple thoughts now that I have a moment:

- I was down close to the floor tonight. It was really, really loud down there. Not sure what it was like in the upper levels.

- Shields looked explosive. Huge if he's back to full strength.

- Nobody wanted to be the ref to call the 5th on Craft.

- NU played with a lot of poise to night. Could have folded when OSU got the lead, they didn't. That was good.

- What was with the "YES, YES, YES" chant by the red zone? I'm guessing I missed a reference to something?

- Thought Webster played really well.

- Petteway can really be a turnover machine at times, but man he was nails down the stretch today.

- This was a big win. I hope these guys can build off this. The schedule softens a bit, it would be nice if they could string a few together.

Not a huge fan of straight up stealing someone's chant. But it is still fun.

Who let all the Ohio State fans in tonight?  I'm going to have some words with some people in my section next game.  IF they show up and don't sell their tickets to the other team's fans again.  #tickedoff

Had you told me before the game that Biggs and Petteway would each turn the ball over 7 times tonight and then asked me to guess the final point spread, I would probably have picked Ohio State by 15.  How the hell?

Once Terran got going ...

Craft got in Deverell's head tonight.  Dev needs to let his play do the talking for him.

When Ohio State made their run, our offensive spacing was about as bad as it's been all year.

It's kind of funny seeing Pitchford try to establish posting-up position 15 feet away from the hoop.

Leslie Smith has really quick hands for a guy his size.  Fantastic pick up for us when we got him.  Very under-the-radar for the kind of player he turned out to be.

Good thing we loved the rim tonight because we weren't getting along very well with the 3.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda, but can you imagine if we'd managed to finish business with Michigan and at Purdue?

Let's see how this week goes, but it appears this young team might be finding its mojo.

I thought Shavon looked fresh and explosive in the first half.  He didn't run or elevate as well in the second half; looked to me liked he tweaked the knee at some point.  I suspect it's something he'll have to fight through and manage all season.

I couldn't tell what they were working on with Leslie when we had the injury substition.  We need that guy as healthy as possible.  OSU wasn't big and we could get by with Leslie playing only 16 minutes, but I wouldn't want to try that against MSU and Wiscy.

Even the geezers in my section stood much of the game.  Very fun.

Found it interesting that Rivers can't see the floor and then we he gets a second chance he's there at the end.

Lots of great things last night but the best to me: We played a solid game, but it didn't take anywhere near a perfect game to beat a Top 20 team.

It didn't take 15 3s, it didn't take a miracle half-court shot, it didn't take a bunch of home cookin' from the officials, it didn't take one player going off for 30+. And we survived one of our worst turnover games of the season (17), survived less than 20% 3-pt shooting, survived a 10-minute trainwreck in the 2nd half, survived our only senior scoring 2 pts, survived Pitch having an off night shooting 3s, and still won without having to really sweat out the final minute.

That's a good sign and should be a significant confidence-builder for the team.

Didn't that happen the night they beat OSU?

I figured it was an attempt to rip open scabs.

Oh, maybe you're right. Didn't catch that

It all comes from Daniel Bryant on Monday night Raw. Fun stuff on pro wrestling you know?

Very good points.  In retrospect, we played a fairly pedestrian game, yet still won.  If/when we really put it together, we could create a bit of chaos going down the stretch.
