TheKamdyMan Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 Dorsey has moved from a 3 star ranked 105 on rivals up to a 4 star ranked at 84. He's now one spots ahead of Watson whom moved down to 85. Cookie Belcher 1 Quote
lanigan123 Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 If we can land one of those 2 pg, white and Morrow we would help cement ourselves in to being a factor for the next few years. Would love to land a big like Baptiste as well Quote
kldm64 Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 Wonder if Coach Miles is around for his visit or to busy on the bus tour with the other coaches? Quote
NeHoops Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 All the coaches should have been back in town that same night after the last stop, unless they had other arrangements. Quote
LSEHusker Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 Down to Maryland, Nebraska and Minnesota could decide within next week hhcmatt 1 Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 I don't see Nebraska winning this one for some reason. Cookie Belcher 1 Quote
uneblinstu Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 That'd be tough for Maryland if they miss out on this kid. Would be a great get for NU. Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 Aren't we due some good news this week? Epically after the news about Lele. Quote

lanigan123 Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 I'm not a 247 subscriber. Rivals never did an update after his visit. Who knows. Quote
Kendrick Perkins Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 I'm betting we'll continue the trend of just missing out. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 Better late than never... Robin Washut @RobinWashut 12 mins Confirmed that 2015 PG Kevin Dorsey has cut his list to 3: #Nebrasketball, Minnesota and Maryland. Could decide as early as next week. Quote

huskerbaseball13 Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 Sounds like a Maryland lean. But you never know. Quote

fred1212 Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 would that also put him in the backyard of the virginia tech transfer? Quote
uneblinstu Posted July 10, 2014 Report Posted July 10, 2014 would that also put him in the backyard of the virginia tech transfer? Blacksburg is about 4 hrs southwest of Potomac. About 2 hrs from Richmond, which I believe is where AW3 is. NeHoops and AuroranHusker 2 Quote
nebrasketball10 Posted July 12, 2014 Report Posted July 12, 2014 This kind of recruiting battle sucks to lose. Not a better program, not closer to home, nowhere near the same facilities... Ugh Quote
Nebrasketballer Posted July 12, 2014 Report Posted July 12, 2014 Tough tough loss. Nebraska is in on a few PGs that are just as good, if not better than Dorsey. In fact, the coaching staff is visiting 4-Star PG Jimmy Whitt this weekend (Who, at #52, is ranked 30+ spots ahead of Dorsey in the Rivals rankings). Nebraska is also in the top 3 of 4-Star Rivals100 PG Glynn Watson, who at #85, is ranked only 1 spot behind Dorsey. Nebraska will be fine...and who knows...if Nebraska's season goes as well as it potentially could, then Nebraska will end up on the radar of even more highly-ranked PGs. Quote

Not saying they won't be fine but this part got me. You know fall signing day, where over 85% of BCS players sign, happens before the first game. So there may not be much left after it starts. Quote

Exactly. I love Miles and his staff, but we clearly are not over the hump yet. Let's hope we start seeing some decent commits before October. It bothers me that players are still finding places like Minneapolis, Iowa City and yes - even State College, PA a more attractive place to play hoops (Penn St already has 2-Top 100 commits for 2015).
