Of course their have been. My entire point was he would be ranked higher if he were 6'9" or even 6'7" one site reports him as a 6'6" guy. It's the only reason the "big" schools have came calling, I'm guessing they will after the 6'9 or bigger guys go elsewhere, like ellenson and diamond stone. He can be a very productive player at 6'7" in the post. Barkley is the one guy people compare him to only because of height. He will play the 4 here.

I am a huge fan of Edward and will be regardless of his height.

There has been a thousand 6'7 college power forwards

How many of them were born in Nebraska in the last 30 years?

If he's not our #1 priority for 2015, our priorities are off.

If I had to guess, I'd say probably several dozen 6'7" power forwards over the last 30 years were born in Nebraska.

My guess is some of them even post on this board.  Anyone want to admit to it?

As it was for Fletch on his Laker dream "he's actually 6'-5, with an afro he's 6'-9"; so, is it with or without the afro? ;)

Their PG did a good job of setting him up.

That PG (#1) is Jalen Brunson, rated the #14 overall player (5-stars) by Rivals.

I decided to look at the AAU teams present to try and get a gauge of what kind of talent is in this league.  My goodness, its sick.  Here are the Rivals ratings of players in Ed Morrow's team's (Mac Irvin Fire) Division (Division D), and what they averaging vs. the competition.  Again - THIS IS JUST IN THEIR EYBL DIVISION - there are 3 other divisions also full of blue chip players.  And also...this is only class of 2015 players...this doesn't include some 2016 and 2017 kids who are present as well.

STATS AS OF MAY 25, 2014:

#14 2015 Jalen Brunson PG, 5-stars (Mac Irvin Fire) - 17.0 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 7.1 APG, 3.8 TOPG
#20 2015 Tyler Davis C, 5-stars (Texas Titans) - 13.6 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 0.8 APG, 2.6 TOPG, 0.9 BKPG
#24 2015 Brandon Ingram SF, 4-stars (Team CP3) - not playing
#35 2015 D.J. Hogg SF, 4-stars (Texas Titans) - 13.9 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 3.1 APG, 1.1 TOPG, 0.4 BKPG
#37 2015 King McClure SG, 4-stars (Texas Titans) (BAYLOR) - 12.1 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 1.7 APG, 1.5 TOPG, 0.4 BKPG
#39 2015 Bennie Boatwright SF, 4-stars (Cal Supreme) - 2.0 PPG, 1.5 RPG, 0.2 APG, 1.2 TOPG, 0.8 BKPG
#40 2015 Aaron Holliday PG, 4-stars (Cal Supreme) (UCLA) - 17.3 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 2.0 APG, 3.2 TO PIG
#41 2015 Marcus Lovett PG, 4-stars (Mac Irvin Fire) - not playing
#51 2015 Bryant Crawford PG, 4-stars (Team Takeover) - 12.2 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 3.8 APG, 3.0 TOPG, 0.1 BKPG
#52 2015 Mickey Mitchell SF, 4-stars (Texas Titans) (OHIO ST) - 5.0 PPG,  5.1 RPG, 5.3 APG, 2.6 TOPG, 0.5 BKPG
#58 2015 Franklin Howard SG, 4-stars (Team Takeover) (SYRACUSE) - 3.6 PPG, 1.4 RPG, 1.6 APG, 2.0 TOPG, 0.1 BKPG
#59 2015 Tyler Lydon PF, 4-stars (Albany City Rocks) (SYRACUSE)
#72 2015 Marcus Derrickson PF, 4-stars (Team Takeover) (GEORGETOWN) - 11.1 PPG,
#102 2015 Brockericks Jones C, 4-stars (Cal Supreme) - 2.4 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 0.5 APG, 0.7 TOPG, 0.5 BKPG
#106 2015 Ed Morrow JR., PF, 3-stars (Mac Irvin Fire) - 14.5 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 0.3 APG, 1.7 TOPG, 2.1 BKPG

so in other words...Ed Morrow Jr is kind of tearing it up. There are four divisions of 10 teams each.  Morrow is tied for #35 in scoring among all players, and is #14 in rebounding, and #5 in blocks.

I was going to say the same thing about the ability of the PG getting the ball to the right person.  There is an art to that talent.  Didn't see the dude shoot, but given the five-star rating, I will assume that he has all-around game.  Can we have him to please :)

Edward Morrow Holds a Dozen Offers, Looking for More

Edward Morrow perfectly summarized the importance of the upcoming July evaluation period.

“I wonder: ‘Wow. What’s going to happen?’” he told SNY.tv. “It’s really big considering the fact that I have a long list of 30-40 schools that are interested.”

The 6-foot-7 power forward from Chicago Simeon High holds 12 offers—which he attributed to his “energy.” With better performances in front of college coaches, he should prepare for even more.

For now, the Rivals No. 106 prospect for the class of 2015 has offers including Creighton, Iowa, Florida State, Minnesota, Nebraska and Southern Methodist.

“The schools recruiting me the hardest are the ones who have offered me,” he said. “The key thing is somewhere I’m going to be happy, and where I can stay four years and be successful.”

One key player during the process will be—and has been—Nebraska and coach Tim Miles. His parents attended Nebraska and “opened up” about the program once he earned an offer.

“I will say [Nebraska] is recruiting me the hardest,” he said. “It was the second school that offered me. I went on an unofficial visit there as well.

“Tim Miles talks a lot about me being a ‘three-four,’” Morrow said. “He can see me expanding my game and a lot of opportunities for the future.”

Still, consider this recruitment wide open. Morrow said he’s heard from powerhouse programs including Florida, Michigan, Kansas and Georgetown. And in July, he’ll try to impress coaches while playing for an excellent Mac Irvin Fire team.

“They say I have a motor,” he said. “They just want me to play my game… They want to see me shoot the ball, taking those 15-footers, and continue to get the ball on the floor like I have been.”

A potential July breakout star, Morrow could be poised for an even busier recruitment.

Three things stood out to me as I read this article. The first that he wants to go somewhere for 4 years, that's not something you always hear out of kids these days. It shows great maturity to me. The second is that once he was offered by Nebraska his parents "opened up" about the program. Have to love mom and dad being alumni. The last thing was that Nebraska was recruiting him the hardest! That was music to my ears! Go Tim Miles!
