I think this one is easy -- If IU and OSU dance, we have to accept an invite from what I understand. If either IU or OSU does not dance, they and NW would be the auto invites and we would have to be invited.

The long, sad history of Nebraska BB in the NCAA Tournament had me thinking of how sad it’s been.  In my lifetime teams like LaSalle, Penn, Drake, George Mason and Wichita State ( on more than one occasion) Princeton and Indiana St. have made the Final Four while we await a single victory.  I’m sure there are more examples than the above mentioned.  It’s frustrating and a little depressing.

For the attention and eyeballs once basketball games slow down after the first two rounds.

 

The whole purpose of this tournament is that FOX didn't have anything to compete with in March and wanted a piece of the pie. So they're competing in that down period where hoops excitement is at a high for ESPN, then a lull before the Final Four.

At first I thought the timing of the CBC would hinder us with putting together a portal class. On second thought we only have three scholarship guys on the roster who currently play who may or may not stay (because that's our world now) in Berke, Connor, and Gavin.  Everyone else is either graduating and we have to replace them or is a walk-on, or is redshirting. 

 

Considering we just lost our way out of the tournament, I'd rather see us try out or luck in Vegas than potentially lose another home game.

I hate that not all teams make the B1G tournament. It takes a lot of juice out of me personally in gearing up for March Madness. Even in years where we absolutely sucked, likely weren’t going to win a game… there was still that “what if” hope. That “we’re back to 0-0 record” type of thinking. I don’t even want to watch conference tournament week now.

I'm just sick not seeing us play in a conference tournament game.  As others have said.

 

We did it to ourselves, but damn that kicks 4 fan bases in the nuts.  Fair is fair, but it doesn't jive with the sport of college basketball.

Could not agree more. This Nebraska game from 15 years ago yesterday came to my mind when I read your post. 2009- 2010. We had a terrible conference record and the 12 seed in the Big 12 tourney. Come out and PUNK 5 seed Missouri in Kansas City and then give 4 seed Texas A&M all they could handle in round 2. Memories.

The great irony here is that I have a work conference in Vegas that exact same week.  It looks like I will be attending the inaugural Crown tournament
