Did our NIT Title Team in ‘96 have an 11 or 9 game losing streak? We couldn’t remember @ the Zoo Bar today while watching our season melt away. We went from getting Top 25 Votes to OUT of the B1G Tournament in the snap of a finger.

9.

just have to start a 5 game win streak sooner.

Find a way to win the next one. Then do it again. It's not an impossible task. That winning mindset has to start with effort, attitude, and positive body language from the squad, and ultimately, it takes 1 win to potentially turn this around.

Let me be very clear. Do I think a turnaround is going to happen? No. Is there a path to the tournament? Yes. 8 of the remaining 11 are Quad 1 games. Protect home court with an upset win against Michigan or Illinois, steal a road win or two at Washington/Penn State/Northwestern/Ohio State, and Nebraska's firmly on the bubble.

One underrated benefit of the bottom 3 teams not going to the Big Ten Tournament is that I don't have to convince myself that 5 games in 5 days for the auto bid is possible.

I'm kind of in the same boat, I wouldn't expect a turnaround to happen but it's not out of the realm of possibility. It will take a lot of soul searching by the squad. I do expect a spirited effort against the Illini, similar to what we saw from USC last time in a bit of a desperation mode. I guess we'll find out how resilient these guys truly are in the weeks ahead. I am still hopeful for things to happen that we probably wouldn't expect to happen at this particular moment in time. I still have hope - at least until the final whistle blows against Illinois. Lets just say we play our frickin tales off and hang on to win that one. one would hope that would be a confidence builder. at that point the rest of the year becomes win out at home by any means necessary (yes even Michigan because in this scenario in my head (which will definitely happen🤣) we are sniffing a tourney appearance by the time they come to Lincoln and the boys know it so they go out and win that as well.

On the road then its all about beating Washington while probably losing all our other road games. In that scenario we get to 19 wins and were at least on the bubble with a chance to make some noise in the Big ten tourney. And WHO KNOWS in this fantasy land dream scenario we could go out and win TWO on the road and were safely in with 20 wins!!

On the other hand if we lose to Illinois in humiliating fashion we may not win another game this year. That's all I got at this point and as always go Skers #optomist

Our team sheet heading to Oregon.

- for the time being, we again have no blemishes as Rutgers and USC are both Q2 games.

- UCLA has again moved into the Q1 realm. That now gives us a 3-6 Q1 record with 2 Q1A wins!

- Our overall SOS is approaching Top 25 in the nation and Non-Conference SOS is respectable at 157.

-Definitely have metrics work to do, but in order to dance, we need to win, and those will naturally increase.

As things stand now, here is what we have left for Quad games. Should we beat Washington, Minnesota, and Iowa and somehow find ourselves with 19 wins, I wouldn’t be shocked if we get a strong look (even at 19-12). Should all else remain the same we’d have quad records of…

Q1: 6-10

Q2: 4-2

Q3: 3-0

Q4:6-0

I don’t know what the numbers are, but 10 Q1&2 wins would probably be pretty tough to leave out. Multiple of those Q1 wins would probably be Q1A too.  Cheer for Rutgers and USC to limit the blemish on our quad record.

Currently the last team in the tournament in Torvik's projections.

I'd imagine we'd have to win at least 6 of our remaining games to be in the hunt. Then goes +/- by conference tournament time.

What quad are we?

Asking for a friend😉

We're in that weird space where if we play someone at their place we're a Q2 game, but if they play at ours we're a Q1 game.

If the conference tournament were to start today, we'd be a Q2 game on a neutral court as well.
