Is this a good hire?  Anxious to hear thoughts.

What I've read so far he seems to be a football centric AD. Which makes sense for Nebraska. I like that they got Hoibergs contract done before they hired a new AD. Just keep the boat steady and heading in the right direction good Sir. Nothing else 😂

Sounds like Dr. Gold from UNMC is going to be the new NU president - depending on which insider source you believe, this is exactly who Trev wanted / didn't want to get the job. This whole thing has been beyond strange.

Good to have all of the administrative drama over so we now can focus on that 1st hoops NCAA win.

The board of regents has nothing to do with hiring an AD

True...but all I ever heard since Alberts left was that the University needed to get a president hired before they got an AD.  Also, there are a lot of people saying that the Board of Regents is at least partially at fault for Alberts leaving.  If they have nothing to do with the hiring then they have nothing to do with his leaving.

Asking for their ok, sure. Driving the University to hire a AD, no.

This is just a weird month of coincidences.  Both teams get A&M for the dance and we hire a new President and an AD at the same time.

The argument that Nebraska needed to hire a president before hiring an AD because the AD reports to the president didn't seem to stop the U from proceeding.
