Vinny Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 Eh, she had her head down running toward the tunnel, looked up and ran into someone. She acknowledged it’s part of the situation, got an apology from the OSU AD and said she’s focused on the game and how to get better. Not a big deal. Huskerpapa 1 Quote
lang Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 I’m gonna be ornery and say she looked like that Wisconsin dude in the other thread Quote

Then she sells the contact, throws her head like she got an upper cut. Yikes. Also-- get out of here with the takes I've seen saying "well the fans aren't supposed to be there" in reply to this video. Bugeaters1 1 Quote

AuroranHusker Posted January 22 Report Posted January 22 (edited) Different angle... yeah, this shows that CC pushed the celebrator, and the video shows that CC flopped like a fish outta water. Wow. Edited January 22 by AuroranHusker Bugeaters1 1 Quote

AuroranHusker Posted January 22 Report Posted January 22 This whole debacle with CC reminds of Grayson Allen in college at Duke and early on in his NBA career, he tripped dudes A LOT. He seemingly has changed his ways, i.e. maturity. Maybe she's such a competitor, that she blanks out & does stupid sh!t. Bugeaters1 and Ron Mexico 2 Quote

Huskerpapa Posted January 22 Report Posted January 22 Here's the deal, fans will get excited with a big win, and they will storm the floor. A rope being held to prevent the surge may deter a few; but the majority will still forge ahead, and the rope simply becomes a safety hazard for trip and falls. Having additional security is possible; but staffing what would be needed seems like extreme overkill for 99% of games. The goals should be to protect the players and staff, mostly for the opposing team; safety for those that are storming the floor; and finally, protection for the facilities and equipment. When Husker fans stormed the floor, all those goals were accomplished. The Purdue players were not at risk and the arena staff did a good job with security and safety. So the grade provided is A+. At OSU, I question why a player, perhaps one of the most polarizing players on the court, was running off the floor, pretty much isolated from her teammates, staff or security. That seems to have e been a failure of the number one goal. Cazzie22 and roscoe 2 Quote

The best don't-storm-the-field security I've ever seen was in Miami after Tom Osborne's first national championship victory in the Orange Bowl. After the game, I was heading for the field. But they had cops on horseback and German Shepard dogs (lots of them) on guard. No one ventured out onto the field--certainly not me! Ron Mexico, Huskerpapa and AuroranHusker 2 1 Quote
