Northwestern (12-5) vs. Nebraska (10-10) Game Thread

My wife and I stayed in a Hotel in SanDiego that had a piano man. It was an experience. We stayed the Hotel twice in three years (she went for work and I tagged along) The bar bar keep called me Nebraska. any way here is some billy Joel.

Just in case anyone missed it, Northwestern had their game vs Wisconsin rescheduled to Monday which means we've been rescheduled to Wednesday at 6 pm

Back on topic, the real funny/inspiring thing about Northwestern is that they are a worse shooting team than us and are a bubble team.

In a year where... possibly... NW, PSU, and Rutgers all make the dance.  We shouldn't give up our hope as Nebrasketball fans.

Northwestern had starting guard Ty Berry and backup guard Julian Roper get injuries last night, although Ty Berry did return. They may be lacking guard depth if Roper can't play. Regardless, they are a bit banged up

Going to be a dog fight for us to get another win or 2 this year. It was always a thin margin with this group but all these injuries ugh. Atleast Fred has been able to show improvement this year. I'll feel confident if he can add a couple of scorers going into next year.

For what it's worth, through 20 games Hoiberg has had 5, 9, and 7-game losing streaks the last 3 seasons. His current losing streak is 3 this season.

 

Injuries don't help, but we're at least splitting some weeks with wins, which is something we didn't have much success in prior years.

I don't think he will be back until he is 100%, which sounded like is 1-2 weeks away.
