My goal is that we can accomplish what the Jays have been doing.

A higher standard is preferred.  Backing into the 16, and getting blown out in two of their last four games is inadequate.

So is going 0-7 in the first round. I'd take a Sweet Sixteen appearance any way I can get it, even if it's a play-in vs. 11 seed, vs. 6, vs. 14 and someone tries to say that's the easy route to get there.

Two blowouts in the last four games is an extremely low standard.  Congrats on your narrow victory over one mid major and a blowout of Ohio.  The B1G was an embarrassment in the Tournament (hopefully Michigan can salvage some form of respect)—that standard is also WAY too low.

Yeah, winning enough games in the regular season to get the 2-seed in the conference tournament, then making it to the conference championship game, then making it to the Sweet16 is pretty inadequate compared to the level of success that Nebrasketball generally achieves. WTF

If you can remember witnessing Nebraska basketball accomplishing even one of those things (let alone all 3 in 1 season), then you are older than I am. I hate Creighton as much as anyone, but I can still be objective and admit that their consistent level of success is exponentially less inadequate than Nebraska’s.

so the "Freaky Friday" tourney continues. Thanks to Michigan finally bringing an 'A' game,  the B1G's still alive. Thanks to UCLA, the PAC 12's performance is looking more like the one everyone expected from our conference.

This should go some ways to getting some of the old respect for the Pac 10+ back, but I'm still hoping the Fighting Hugh Jackmans pull this out so we don't have a great season and wind up in the CBI or something.

Posting this now, since the Oregon/USC matchup will result in a Pac-12 win and a Pac-12 loss either way.

Getting to the 16 once and doing well in the Big East.  Good for you!

SMH. Well I (and I assume you as well) am a fan a team that gets referenced in a tweet like the following every time some obscure team gets their 1st NCAA Tournament win, so yeah I would love to be winning conference championships and making it to conference championships and I would love to make it to the Sweet16 any way it happened, so I can stop having embarrassing stuff like this said/tweeted every season about the basketball team I’m a fan of and the university I graduated from.

You all laugh and scoff?

Remember, Huskers have multiple national championships across multiple sports in multiple decades.  Basketball has always underperformed, as has football of late.  But the goal and standards are always high.
So, again, please accept my congratulations and enjoy your successes.

The Elite 8 teams average 4.5 transfers on their rosters.

People who complain about all the transfers, it's time for you to stop telling everyone else to get off your lawn.  The retirement home down the street has open beds.

The key is to net better from your transfers coming into the program than the ones leaving.

That's no different from what most of us know of recruiting high school kids. Bring in better kids than the ones you already have and you get better.

Here's some other teams who have such low standards as well:

Oregon: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; Pac-12 regular season champions the last 3 seasons; couldn't even make it to the Sweet 16 in 2019 and got blown out by USC this year.

Florida State: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; got blown out in those two losses.

Alabama: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; SEC regular season champions and conference tournament champions; got blown out in one of those and lost to a play-in team in their other loss.

Villanova: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; Big East regular season champions 3 seasons in a row; couldn't even make it to the Sweet 16 in 2019 and got blown out in one of their losses.

Oral Roberts: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; Summit League tournament champions; couldn't even make it to the Sweet 16 in 2008 and got blown out in one of their losses.

Loyola Chicago: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; Missouri Valley champions and conference tournament champions; couldn't even make it out of their side of the bracket in 2018 and lost to a team that never would have made the Big Dance had they not won their conference tournament in 2021.

Syracuse: lost 2 of their last 4 tournament games; couldn't even get past the first round in 2019 and lost to a mid-major team in 2021.

NIce to see new faces and not the same tired old faces.  Plus it’s great that the western part of the country is dominate.  Only Michigan is east of the Mississippi R.
