Clips are my NBA team so just wanted to add that he joined the staff in this capacity about a year after Lue took over as head coach.  Lue seems to be trying to give him a similar path to the one he took with Doc Rivers.  But Belcher already has experience coaching at IMG Academy where he had been for several years prior to this.  As mentioned in this old article, he had even helped Ja Morant train there when he was preparing for the NBA Draft.

It's too bad he wound up out of the rotation... but, tbh, Dalano Banton's role diminished too at NU. Proves that the pro leagues are looking for specific skill sets as opposed to a team concept with a lot of variables (and varying talent) that must mesh at the college level.
