Um, actually, yeah.

Are you insane?  Look what they got coming back.  They're only *really* losing Watson, and I'm sure they have some mid-major transfer sitting out right now that's gonna all of a sudden blow up and turn into All American next year....plus it's back at their house again next year.

They might be better next year than they are this year:

CREIGHTON BLUEJAYS
NO NAME POS HT WT CLASS HOMETOWN
1 Davion Mintz G 6-3 175 FR Charlotte, NC
5 Jordan Scurry G 6-2 205 FR Dedham, MA

23 Justin Patton C 7-0 230 FR Omaha, NE
24 Kobe Paras G 6-6 200 FR Manila, Philippines
2 Khyri Thomas G 6-3 205 SO Omaha, NE

I'm crunching the numbers and 11-7 in the conference getting us into the tourney relies an awful lot on who you beat. You probably need 1-2 wins in the conference tourney as well. It would be extremely beneficial for us ATM for Indiana and Maryland, two teams we won't face again, to win the rest of their games. You should definitely root for Gardner-Webb, a team who hasn't won since they beat us here.

12-6 should do it for sure. There are some Michigan St examples you can look at on this.

10-8? Did we beat Wisconsin and Purdue?

I mean, a starting lineup of:

Foster

Harrell

Hegner

Patton

Plus "unknown nobody that is sitting out his transfer year who will become all-world"...

That's formidable!

So I looked it up, and that transfer is some kid from Syracuse, apparently... 4* top-50 type kid.  He's totally not a bust unlike our 4* transfers who totally are.

We'll lose by 40. ;)

Creighton may not get Patton back next year

Patton or Foster tbh. It's not likely both are gone. But there's still a chance. Patton is blowing up and Foster is a kid I can see pulling a TP3 move and gambling with the draft (assuming he'll have his degree come spring?)

Last time we lost to Michigan State was Miles' first season wasn't it?

In the Devaney Center, and it was a marginally close game. Nebraska had Dylan Talley & FROSH Shavon Shields and not much offense elsewhere. It was an 8-9 pt. loss. Nebraska hasn't lost to MSU since mid-Febr. 2013!!

It pains me to say this...but if their underclassmen return, they'll still be good next year.  They lose 3 guys in their rotation, but only 1 of their top 4 players in terms of minutes.

That being said, if we return everyone who has remaining eligibility, we should be significantly better than the last time they saw us.

Just found the boxscore, yeah, it was the Talley/Shields show. I hadn't recalled that Ray Gallegos went 0-13!! Whoa... 1 point.

How could you be so disrespectful to forget Omaha's own and Benson alum Khyri Thomas. Kid is a baller.

I'm just bustin your chops btw.

That first season was sad offensively. I went to the Oregon game out here and I remember being impressed with young Shavon but he came down super hard on his head or hip and I think the team managed less than 40 points the entire game.

I noticed that NU-UO boxscore looking earlier: 60-38. Huskers lost to the Ducks the prior year, but scored twice as much as the game in Eugene!!

Nearly a decade ago in Omaha at the somewhat new Qwest Center, NU scored around 90. (went back & checked, and it was 88-79 in OT -- and the year before that, NU played 'em in Portland at the Rose Garden, lost 68-56).

Apparently NU's offense is only effective against the Ducks in Nebraska, it seems. Wow.

Some Quotes from those that have us "in"

"-Nebraska is rolling. With Big Ten play opening with road wins at Indiana and Maryland, Nebraska is not only in the field but a dark horse for a regular season Big Ten championship."

Ok, which one of us sunshine pumper wrote this?

Hopefully they can avoid playing such an embarrassingly soft non-con next year.
