Maybe he is worried about PT...but I don't think that's the main reason. Have you taken a gander at Providence's roster? They are in need of size as badly as we are. If he would have stayed he would have received quality minutes. Maybe he wants to make the step up from a mid-major conference? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯3 points -

I get the opportunity to coach baseball...but the following is true in recruiting as well. That is: in order to hit the ball, you must first swing the bat! We are in the process of taking our hacks. I hope that very soon, we will catch up with a fastball or two.2 points -

Pretty sure we only had 12 scholarship players last year unless you are counting Menke. We didn't use them all last year I thought for sure we gave it to Menke again but apparently not. Menke was on a schollie the past couple of seasons, and he helped boost the team APR in the process. Kye Kurkowski didn't have a schollie, though. Thats what I thought. Menke would've made it 13 last year then in that case. The scholarship was open for the fall semester of the 2014/15 season. Miles held on the open scholarship until the very end of the semester in hopes of landing a spring semester transfer. When that didn't pan out, Menke was given the scholarship for the spring semester because it was clear it would go unused otherwise. With that said, this all seems moot. We all know that the scholarship was not originally "saved" for him, it just happened to be "open" once again and therefore was given to a walk-on rather than simply being wasted.1 point -

Don't recall where I read this but he is the 'all time leader in dunks for his school' It was at the end of this Nebrasketball article in the LJS: http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/life-in-the-red/bielfeldt-chooses-hoosiers-nu-adds-walk-on/article_63b43d08-098a-11e5-811a-e32f300b9018.html That's certainly an interesting footnote, wonder how many schools in the Midwest have ever kept track of that sort of 'stat'?1 point -

Budding Nebraska Sportswriter/Pundit from Seward who writes elsewhere. Not my favorite (as I'm an outlandish optimist) since his outlook tends toward the 'negative' side. But in fairness he did predict the loss of Leslee Smith to injury last season would have an out-sized impact on the season. Don - He tosses enough tweets out that sooner or later something is bound to stick1 point -

Max Bielfeldt (Michigan 2015 Transfer)
Silverbacked1 reacted to Red Don for a topic
We'll probably never know, but in any case I think Iowa State was Max's preferred school. Otherwise, why delay to learn Hoiberg's decision? If he wanted Nebraska he could have committed on the spot. Reading some ISU fan-sites I got the impression that if not ISU, Indiana would be his choice - some felt "Nebby is a mess" and why go there (But just wait until next year when the incoming class and AWIII get going ). Think I'd rather play for a 'Miles' than a 'Crean' but that's just me.1 point -

I like the idea of quarters, since it will cut down the number of timeouts in the game. There are way too many timeouts as is. Also, it seems that every level EXCEPT NCAA use quarters in the game. High school, the pros, and international.1 point
