hskr4life Posted March 9, 2016 Report Posted March 9, 2016 Worried about losing to Rutgers.... lol. But this ain't rock bottom. It's tournie time baby... Everyone should be worried about everyone... That's how teams like KU, Duke, and Others tend to go home early in March. No... This isn't rock bottom... It's a little thing called March. 49r and colhusker 2 Quote

You would NOT be able to father more children if you get your junk caught in a corn auger. So, my advice to any guys out there thinking of becoming dads: Don't try to hump your corn auger. Or your neighbor's corn auger. You might be thinking to yourself, man, that sure is one sexy corn auger over there. But, for gawdsake, keep it in your pants. Just a farm safety tip from Norm (who has never lost a body part in a corn auger.) 49r and Buglem 2 Quote

I've seen a lot of prosthetic arms and legs from auger mishaps, but when it gets to the point where your junk is endangered you are pretty much a goner anyway. AuroranHusker 1 Quote

Red Don Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 Someone tell Kent P to be careful out there. Keep his hands low when describing the action. Hate to see him get booted from a game. But ... it's happened before. http://deadspin.com/radio-announcer-ejected-from-college-basketball-game-fo-1763707532 "Eventually Menzl was able to talk to a Horizon League official and get back to his job." This kind of makes me wonder if a Ref has ever been ejected? hhcmatt Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 Sure Mike Williams went 6-8 last game but he's a lot more likely to go 2-6 in this game given his history. He went 2-5. Quote
royalfan Posted March 10, 2016 Author Report Posted March 10, 2016 Survive and advance. Have to have some pride on defense and keep our man in front of them. Cannot allow such easy 3 point shots as a result of having to help so much. Don't mind sprinkling in some zone, but cannot play that alumni tournament zone that we used the whole game against them last time. Was awful coaching to stay in it after they had solved it. We have no margin for error for bad coaching moves. They need to get it right Thursday night to put us in a decent position. I believe that the momentum created with a big win Thursday would put us in a pretty damn good spot against a struggling Maryland team. Not sure what we would have left after that potential win, but the path up to that point is very doable. We need to take advantage of the draw. And it starts with Miles coaching a great game. He has it in him. AuroranHusker and Buglem 2 Quote

royalfan Posted March 11, 2016 Author Report Posted March 11, 2016 Survive and advance. Miles answered the call I was asking for. Best game our staff coached all year. It may take a similar effort against Maryland. The main thing is to double aggressively. We did that tonight better than any game all year. This is how we can beat Purdue by the way in a potential final. We have to mean business when we double. Cause havoc. We did tonight and Benny Parker showed tremendous leadership on defense right from the get go. A couple times Shields just said "screw it" I have to go double. He did it with conviction. I am not terribly well versed on Maryland. But I know they will take some dumb shots. We need to identify who we don't want to take what and protect the paint again and see what happens. It may require a White heater. Certainly going to need him to play a little better to win the next couple tilts. We also need to be rooting hard for the Buckeyes in the game before. We can beat that team. Michigan St. will be a handful. Miles needs to rise up again. He needs to coach better than tonight. He needs to get in a zone of pushing all the right buttons. He has it in him. Good night all. Congrats on the win tonight. Silverbacked1 and Cazzie22 2 Quote

Mr. Red Posted March 11, 2016 Report Posted March 11, 2016 I get tired 3 minutes into a weekend half court pickup game... can our boys handle their third (full court) game in three nights? Especially after the sheer defensive heart and hustle that they expended last night? GO BIG RED!!!!! Quote
