Be saying this too

That one and there was one in the first half where the shooter had his toe on the line and they didn't bother to review it at the next time out.

sigh....NU hoops. Signature win followed by the Laying of the Egg

Another home loss. We just have no court advantage in this place.

Oh well, get  'em next time, I guess.

Michigan is 30 of 66 from 3 the last three games against Nebraska. That's 45 percent. Today Michigan shot 52 percent on 11 for 21.

Michigan came into today's game shooting 41 percent from 3 — a great percentage for any team, but not as hot as it was today.

Last year, Michigan made 36 percent of its 3-pointers. UM made 43 percent against Nebraska.

michigan has become our creighton of the big 10. we just can't beat them.

I said the same thing.  They have some pretty similar philosophies in personnel and defense.  I think we need to press all three point shooting teams and try to turn the game sloppy.  It really worked tonight.  That's gotta be in the formula for beating those teams.

I think you got to pick and choose when to use the press.  I was actually surprised how poorly they did handling the ball against us.  I think if we use it more teams will prepare for it and it will be less effective.  Plus, to run it you have to score.

You can't allow them to shoot 11-21 from 3, and 25-47 overall and expect to win.  Especially when you go 6-22 from 3.  We have to figure out how to get White going, again.  If we want any chance to beat Purdue next weekend, White has to go off.

Nebraska has done so many things that have caused losing today

Missing key FT's down the stretch

Bailout fouls with under 8 seconds on the shot clock

Failing to end possessions with rebounds

Frustrating. This team played like there was a glass ceiling on them today and they just couldn't ever break through. This game comes down to those 3 things and that just comes with experience.

The answered prayer by Dawkins and Shields missed free throws really hurt.  Had the momentum right there for a big run.

Oh....and the bastards shooting 80-some-odd percent in the 2nd half didn't help either!  Simply can't let a chump like Donnel score that many easy layups.

Great effort to get back within striking distance.  This game concerned me because the Huskers haven't been a very good 3-point defensive team under Miles.

Actually we would have been alright if we would have guarded inside the 3 point line the 2nd half.  Michigan was 6-11 from 3 in the first half, but 4-14 from 2.  In the 2nd half, they were 5-10 from 3, and 9-12 from 2.  If we hold them to the same percentage in the 2nd half as the 1st half, they score 6 points instead of 18, and it's a 1 point game.  So, the shots from 3 didn't kill us as much as the shots from 2 did.

I guess they were 10-12 from 2, which means, they score 6 points instead of 20, and we win by 1.

So they shot 11-21 from three.  52% from three had something to do with pulling the defense out of the paint and the easy baskets in the 2nd half.  The set defense wasn't good today.  Played pretty good press defense.

They scored 33 points on 22 threes.

We scored 18 points on 21 threes.

They scored 20 points on 23 free throws.

We scored 6 points on 9 free throws.

They had 32 rebounds to our 24.

Proof that we should press:  we won the turnover battle 14-10.  I'm pretty encouraged by that.

I hope this game earns Morrow some more minutes.  Jacobson got killed on the boards.

Said thing is we had out rebounded them at half time.

Please tell me that Robinson dude is a senior.

Nope. He was a DIv III player two years ago

Wow, all the lousy D1 coaches in the area who missed on him coming out of high school and didn't offer should be fired.  The fact that he ended up doing well enough to transfer to Michigan proves that they should have known when he was in high school how good he was going to be.  It's their job to find under-the-radar players.  They all blew it.  Probably 350 D1 coaches in all.  Blew it.  Sheesh.  /snark

Yeah, Norm...Just look at all the coaches that messed up on Steph Curry.  I can't believe that any coach in North Carolina (other than McKillop) still has a job after that colossal f'kup!

I mean the cat is a future NBA HOF'er for goodness sakes!  It should have been obvious from a very early age that he was special!

Wish Miles could find a kid that can shoot like Robinson.  Dang he was money.

The kid basically got funnelled to Beilein from a former assistant coach.

Maybe one day from the Miles tree

They're all D1 coaches though...

So far
