Minnesota_Husker Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 Perfect analysis of twolve situation. Petteway not really what they need. They need deadly shooter to help space court for the young scorers. Also think they could flip Rubio for a piece that fits better than he does, even though I like him. Fun up and coming team. The Rubio hate amongst Wolves fans makes no sense to me. A lot of Wolves fans want Kris Dunn, who also cant shoot. For those who dont watch Ricky play, he is close to being an elite level PG in terms of court vision, passing and defense. He just cant shoot to save his life and without a spot shooter, it cuts down the options and then guys like Lavine and Wiggins are forced to drive the lane with defense's sinking in. Get a pure spot shooter like a Buddy Heild and you will see the court open up. If you trade Rubio, it better include a PG who is a pure shooter in return or you need the 2 spot(currently LaVine) to be able to shoot. Rubio/Lavine/Wiggins just doesnt work. Petteway could potentially find a spot on the Wolves but it would have to be as a two guard, because Shabazz already does what TP would do. Quote
Minnesota_Husker Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 I saw them play PHX earlier this season & I came away with the notion that Minny has a lot of talent throughout their tema, I think the T-Wolves will be the team on the rise very shortly. Most teams would look like they are on the rise when playing Phoenix:) But seriously, they are on the rise. And if they execute properly on rounding out the roster, it could be a poor mans OKC type situation down the road as they all grown. Lets not forget this club beat the Warriors on the road late in the year as Golden St. was trying to have the best record of all time. It wasn't like Golden St. was resting people etc. Lot of talent. KAT is ridiculously good on offense. KAT is already a top 5 center. Wiggins game is growing and very balanced. LaVine is very interesting and his shot greatly improved. He could end up being the 2nd best player on this team if his game continues to progress. The wolves biggest issue was they had no bench and no spot shooter. Go add a few guys to bolster the bench and a spot shooter in Heild and watch the team grow. Quote
Fullbacksympathy Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 With Thibs at the helm, they are contenders very soon in my mind. AuroranHusker 1 Quote
jason2486 Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 With a facilitator-type PG, I think TP would be a nice fit on a lot of NBA teams. I could see him becoming a J.R. Smith-type of guy. HolyBobpilgrimage 1 Quote

bleujay Posted July 12, 2016 Report Posted July 12, 2016 TP has looked good, will admit though I've mainly been watching to see thon maker (also looks good even if he's 23) Quote
basketballjones Posted July 12, 2016 Report Posted July 12, 2016 I do not understand why TP can't get picked up full time by a team. Makes zero sense to me... He's so much more "ready," both physically and from a skills perspective, than a huge amount of players coming into the league. He's also only got a few more years of his physical prime - so if a team needs to fill a spot with a much more readiness for a discount - why not TP? Red Rum 1 Quote

I think he will sign with a team for the upcoming season I agree with both of these statements/questions. He looks as good or better than a lot of the regular roster guys who are playing in the Summer League. And unlike some of the guys who appear to be "getting their own", he isn't forcing much. Quote

I agree with this, but there are several people (especially Milwaukee Bucks fans) who are hating on him and think he's a black hole. I was reading a message board of theirs to see what they think of him and it was non stop hate. I think they are still butt hurt about Petteway and Co taking them down on no sit sunday Silverbacked1 1 Quote
