colhusker Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 If we could get this kid, and with Roby and Morrow we would have a pretty good front line for the next couple of years won't we? Also could see the leg hair on that picture so he might still be growing. Glad you were specific with whos legs had the hair. Mom might not appreciate it had you meant her. hhcmatt and Silverbacked1 2 Quote

49r Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 But his AAU team wears UA stuff, and he's rocking the Under Armor in all the pics/videos in this thread previously. Maybe shoe company isn't as big a deal to him as some folks want to think??? Quote
Norm Peterson Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 So, it's about 10:28 on Monday morning following his visit. Do we have a commit yet? I'll check back in a few. Quote
Swan88 Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 So, it's about 10:28 on Monday morning following his visit. Do we have a commit yet? I'll check back in a few. Robin Washut has an excellent post-visit article on Jeriah Horne. Here is one bit of information from that article: "Horne said he's looking to make his decision as early as the first week of October, and he hopes to have a more specific date for his announcement within the next couple of days." Norm Peterson Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 If his mom's twitter feed (https://twitter.com/mspinkngreen93) is any indication, I'd like to think things look pretty good for us. She's retweeted all kinds of Robin Washut tweets about his visit and his opportunity to play with Isaiah Roby. And she's a Big Ten girl. She tweeted a "go Ohio State" comment with the hashtag #ThatisMyHometown. She re-tweeted some stuff following his KSU visit also, but not like what she re-tweeted after his NU visit. GBR!!! Quote
49r Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 Oh man, Norm, it seems like things are heating up! Think we can manage to get 20 pages in before he makes up his mind??? It's gonna be close, we got some work to do here... Norm Peterson 1 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 I'm up for it if you are. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 I'm up for it if you are. If you look at Jeriah's he seems to only tweet around his visits and retweets stuff about him for it. Im pretty confident in getting his signature but we will have to wait and see. Also I posted it before but watched highlights again and Rivals ratings etc and this kid is so close to what Draymond Green was out of HS its scary close in many ways. I mean only 8 spots difference in rating #122 vs #130 for Horne. http://sports.yahoo.com/tcu/basketball/recruiting/player-Draymond-Green-52422 Norm Peterson, hhcmatt and bobcat402 3 Quote

bball23 Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 What I like about Horne are a few things. 1) He has a big body. Mold that thing up with some weight lifting and he could be very physical down low, even if he is "undersized" 2) He is crafty with his moves. Doesn't "wow" you with athleticism, but kind of reminds me of a Shavon Shields type player 3) Creative around the rim, with soft touch. Uses his body well to establish position on the block for a guy his size. I also think this guy has room to grow. I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up 6'9 or so. And with that "beefy" body, hitting the UNL strenghth program, he could really bulk up well. Silverbacked1 and Norm Peterson 2 Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 Another positive is that most of the guys over the years that have come form the KC or northern Missouri to play here have done well if not very well. Close to home so he can get back if need to, also mom and dad can come to many games. Really like his size and ability, this with Roby would be a very solid class. Quote
AuroranHusker Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 Miles has gone on record to say that Nebraska needs a player like Shavon ( and not just because he's graduating... ), and that player definitely seems to be Jeriah. Hope Horne pulls the trigger for Nebrasketball sooner than later. bobcat402 and Silverbacked1 2 Quote

Swan88 Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 So . . . what effect does this have on Jeriah Horne? They took official visits to Kansas State on the same weekend: Quote
Cornhoopers Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 Why would anyone want to go play for Bruce Weber in the Lil' Apple? So...hopefully nothing. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 So . . . what effect does this have on Jeriah Horne? They took official visits to Kansas State on the same weekend: Sneed is a good pickup for the Wildcats. As long as he doesn't sway Jeriah to KSU, I'm glad Sneed went there and not to someone we actually play against. His other main option was Xavier. Was also considering Illinois. I think it would have been cool had Xavier gone to Xavier. Red Don 1 Quote

lanigan123 Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 I'm excited to see how they play Morrow. They have a lot of guys who can play that 3/4 spot. If one of them grows you could almost roll out all 3 of them. Especially with the length in current class. You could roll out 2-5 all 6 7 or taller. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 For what it's worth ... 247 Sports Crystal Ball is predicting 100% probability Jeriah Horne commits to the Huskers. http://247sports.com/Player/Jeriah-Horne-82239 It's no guarantee, but I like those odds. hhcmatt, Red Don and Swan88 3 Quote
Norm Peterson Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 Pretty significant difference in Horne's offer list compared to Draymond, tho... https://rivals.yahoo.com/tcu/basketball/recruiting/player-Jeriah-Horne-166799 First, make sure you click on the full offer list. Second, Rivals doesn't list Memphis, which also offered. Beating out P5 schools including West Virginia, KSU and Minnesota, not to mention Memphis and Wichita State ... that's pretty good company, right there. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 Hes been added to the Rivals 150 at spot #131. He's now up to #129. https://rivals.yahoo.com/tcu/basketball/recruiting/player-Jeriah-Horne-166799 Quote
jimmykc Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 Fun Horne fact of the day: Does anyone know what a "horn" is in major league baseball? Hint: same thing as a titanium sombrero. Quote
