Fullbacksympathy Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Still eligible? Did he hire an agent? Quote
Norm Peterson Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Withdrew from the draft? Are you sure? If so, this is a shocking development. And, by shocking, I mean pretty much expected. /snark Quote

FredsSlacks Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 sad part is we still have an open scholarship, and it sounds like walt will be here all summer and possibly longer? Quote
AuroranHusker Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Hope it works out for "Walt P for Degree." Silverbacked1, HuskerFever, jdostal and 2 others 5 Quote
jimmykc Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 I just want him to know that I still have a final Walter saved. Although since I have mysteriously lost my ability to change avatars he might have to change his name to George if he returns. AuroranHusker 1 Quote
HuskerFever Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 I would have been a little more empathetic to hear this news if he hadn't tried to make a "I want to focus on my studies" rationale for leaving and then within 48 hours he ends up declaring for the draft. Silverbacked1 1 Quote

AuroranHusker Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 Who the hell are the Wolves going to draft now? TP5 would go nicely with the past three #1 overall picks on the roster, wouldn't he? Quote
trickey Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 At the lead of this video, Andy Katz mentions that Harriman's recruit, Nikola Scekic, is 255 lbs. which doesn't sound like Sergej 2. Time will tell whether there is talent there with the size. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 From the video I saw, he didn't play like Segej either. Dude was a beast. Quote

I would be happy if they drafted him in the second round. I doubt he does anything, but i love the work ethic and will to be successful. I think they should just trade for next years first so we can draft Benny. the wolves need a sparkplug! AuroranHusker 1 Quote

Or we watched the same vid and came away with totally different takes. I didn't even finish the vid I watched because I wasn't impressed at all. Quote

bleujay Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 I'm not trying to be a pessimist, I just do not see how Walter fits into an NBA roster, unless he is draining 3's at, like, a 45% clip. The dude is SOFT, can't/ doesn't want to rebound, doesn't want to bang down low. I'll be interested to see how this plays out Quote
AuroranHusker Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 I think Walt could rebound if he put his mind to it (and he has done it in various games at Nebraska). Problem is that he sees himself as a 2-guard. It's the strangest thing, really. Have no idea what role he could play, unless his all-around game significantly improves. Quote
HF_ Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 If he can be a 45-50% 3pt shooter he can end up in the NBA. When guys of similar size like Matt Bonner or Steve Novak can carve out entire decade-long careers based solely on 3 point shooting, that tells me he can be a complete one trick pony and still make it. I would just be surprised if he goes from a slightly above average college 3pt shooter to an elite level NBA shooter. There are plenty of examples where this has happened but it would shock the hell out of me if it happened with Pitch. bobcat402 and AuroranHusker 2 Quote
