McDermitt has always been good at recruiting talent. But he has normally failed to do anything with it. Look at his tenure at Iowa State. Great recruiting, poor results on the court.

I would like to see second graders not forced to write letters to people they don't know to go to a school they probably don't really care about to play a sport they won't care about for a few more years.

 

Stick to writing to veterans.

Wow, that seems to be kind of weird for a school like KU to do this.  Why would they think that would be a selling point? Doesn't feel like the best use of resource to have impressionable kiddos spending quality time in the classroom doing that.
