This player took an official visit to Georgetown back in the fall of 2012.

He was a Rivals four-star, with a #42 national ranking, in the 2013 class.

Kenya recruit him? Immediately available?

I believe JW-III would have to sit a year as a traditional Div. 1 transfer

He was in a bad offense on a bad team at Mizzou without the coaches that recruited him. Great rebounder, great size, good culture fit. As long as we have the guards to take the burden off him to have to be the primary scoring threat he will thrive with us. We definitely want this guy and he's worth the redshirt.

He is my take on him, based on talking with co-worker who spoke to Missouri's radio guy about JWIII, first I think he would be an upgrade from Walt with a higher ceiling.  According to Gary Link (the MU radio guy), when Misery tanked it this year it was when JWIII decided he was a 3 pt shooter.  He thinks the kid has someone in his ear telling him to get to the next level needs to be a pop and shoot kind of guy.

What about teams like Grambling or South Carolina State or even Central Arkansas? Is allowed there? Seems like some weird school that he can't go to. Must be on their schedule the next year or two.

Im assuming that and possibly teams they felt could have been "tampering" behind the scenes before the release was granted.

They play a "border war" game with Illinois so I can understand that one.  The Big 12 is probably so KU can't have him as I have not heard anything about Big 12 schools wanting to play Missouri yet.  The SEC is pretty clear.  NC State and Arizona are interesting

Depends on your definition of the color red, Norm. If you weren't all that strict about it, Texas A&M fits in your criteria. Come to think of it, so would Mississippi State.

So, instead of limiting it to those P5 schools that haven't played in the Final Four, they should limit it to those P5 schools that haven't won a game in the NCAA tourney?  Is that what we need?

Too bad they didn't block Michigan State.

"You can go to any Power 5 school that wears red and white and has a contract with ADIDAS but only those that haven't played in the Final 4 in the last twenty-five years."

That would about cover it, I think.

Thankfully they specifically blocked NC state.. because they fit that demographic.

Typically when schools block a series of semi-random schools, these are either future or potential future opponents. The Big 12 has a Big 12 vs SEC challenge, for instance.
