This board is dead. And most new threads are off topic.

And don't tell me to watch baseball (aside from the Huskers) I would rather watch the grass grow.

I've been thinking the same thing for the past few weeks. Where are Norm's completely off-topic polls?? :)

aside from the first round..these NBA playoffs are excruciating...NBA refs are some of the worst when it comes to consistency, the fouls last night were absurd, and the inability to play defense is crazy..i am excited for the World Cup..which will distract me from Pirates slipping into another losing season...unless we can trade for some pitching...i hate the offseason as well

I hear ya. It is a bad time to be slow at the office. During the season I would spend all kinds of time on here. Now I spend all kinds of time popping in to see if anything new has been posted. I'm running out of work friendly internet to look at.

Well, dang it. That was my suggestion. I like baseball, so, there is no offseason for me, which sucks for the rest of you, I guess. That and the grass does grow pretty quickly this time of year, so I guess you've got that covered either way. ;)

I am plenty busy opening up my second and third business in Omaha as well a lot of family stuff going on but I like having football and basketball as an escape to read/worry about them a little each day.

I went to 2 of the Husker games in at TD Ameritrade but outside of the Huskers I just don't have a lot.

Which business would that be, P.M.?

If no body dies in Brazil the World Cup will be off the hook.

It's a big country. Statistically speaking someone has to die during the month.

Their problem is going to be paying for it and then the Olympics. I love watching both events, but why any country would want either one is beyond me. They are the proverbial money pits. Greece's economic problems started with the debt created by their Olympics. European debt...you can't get much more off topic for a Nebraska basketball board than that. Is there some sort of boobie prize for that.

I know somebody is going to die. :)

I just hope it isn't a fan visiting or if there are protests that something doesn't go wrong.

My son has a very good friend from Brazil and was going to go live with him and his family and go to some games. He got a job and has a wedding so he can't go, his mom and I are happy about that. Wasn't sure I wanted him down there, but you know you need to let them go up some time.

Nice hand action to bad her hand slips, would have liked to seen what came out.

As I am finishing watching the B1G channel rerun of a Wisconsin v Michigan State game from the conference tournament, that I never watched before...

The thought kept popping into my mind...WE BEAT both these teams! It has been a long time since I could float on that level.

That should carry you through the off season until we reach "NO sit 2015".

I own Game Vault on 63rd and Center (new and used video games).  And I am the co-founder of Spielbound Board Game Cafe opening up in August at 33rd and Harney.

It sucks that the Husker baseball team lost today. Now Husker sports are over for a long time.  The baseball team couldn't get out of their own way; but I have hope they can do even better next year!  Just have having to wait. :(

Good luck with your businesses, Pimp. I always pull for risk takers who put it on the line to employ people.
