FredsSlacks Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 We just offered him. has d1 offers in football and basketball. http://sports.yahoo.com/nebraska/basketball/recruiting/player-Michael-Jacobson-157885;_ylt=A0LEVz5T5mZTOEkAuMhx.9w4;_ylu=X3oDMTBybnV2cXQwBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMgRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkAw-- Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 That's just basketball offers. If a player is possibly capable of being two sport they create a prospect profile for both sports and keep the same offers. He is up to 7 offers right now. Nebraska is by far the best one so I'm curious to see if he fits the under the radar offer and blows up, or if he ends up being this years David Wacker that has an "offer" but ends up going to a lesser school. TheKamdyMan Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 Yikes...huge project I wouldn't say huge. He did have a very good EYBL tournament in Sacramento where both Harriman and Hunter joined Miles. I think this is a back up plan type guy to Morrow. Quote
Creighton Fan Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 Yikes...huge projectI wouldn't say huge. He did have a very good EYBL tournament in Sacramento where both Harriman and Hunter joined Miles. lanigan123 Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 Do you think Miles would rather have Ilikanien or Morrow? Quote

Cookie Belcher Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 I think we have a much better shot with Morrow than Illikainen. Quote
OurDecay Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 I think we have a much better shot with Morrow than Illikainen. Absolutely Quote
HuskerCager Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 or if he ends up being this years David Wacker that has an "offer" but ends up going to a lesser school. Speaking of which... I know this doesn't exactly belong under this thread, but I think that is our biggest recruiting error this year. Seems like Wacker was ours for the taking but we passed up on him. Quote

OurDecay Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 What other offers he got? Rivals lists: Drake Indiana St Iowa St Northern Colorado Northern Iowa Princeton UTEP 247 adds: Lehigh Brown Wyoming The Iowa St offer is either new, or a typo by Rivals. We are far and away his best offer. He's great academic kid....he would be best served going to a place like Princeton IMO. I'm not a big fan of his game...I hope that we don't end up having to take him. Quote
lanigan123 Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Iowa state offered for football I believe. Quote
Cornhoopers Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Which is more prestigious, an Iowa State football offer or an Indiana State basketball offer? atskooc 1 Quote
MandRHusker Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 The film on him looks good...both back to the basket and 3 point skills. Not real athletic, as you would expect. Quote
Swan88 Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Who knows where this recruit stands in the Tim Miles list of priorities--perhaps he is a top priority, but he might also be a plan B or C? But Tim Miles seems to be developing a niche with high-academic-achiever recruits. Michael Jacobson's top three scholarship choices right now are Nebraska, Harvard and Princeton, according to Robin Washut. Terin Smith is a high school valedictorian. Andrew White III is a high-academic-achiever, as is Shavon Shields. How cool is that!! NeHoops, AuroranHusker, trickey and 1 other 4 Quote
lanigan123 Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 I see him as a plan C guy. Alex and Ed are both above him. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Like I stated the first time I around I think he is this years David Wacker. Nebrasketballer and hhcmatt 2 Quote
HoiBall Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 Better hope this is a plan C guy or this is a big blow to any recruiting momentum. Sergej is a much better use of a scholarship Quote
