You'd like to think with how early Miles got in and all the positives around the program + the opportunity to literally play 32+ minutes a night next year would be appealing

You would think, but alot of times these kids are more attracted to playing at a bigger name school (i.e. the kid from Omaha that is now at Louisville sitting the bench).

No doubt, but I think it's important to note that we're in a much different position than we were in a year ago. Miles, and the Cornhuskers in general, have a lot more credibility to recruits with this recent surge of momentum. It's nice to have great facilities, but we finally have a good team to go along with it.

Agreed.  I'm just hoping some of these kids we are recruiting see that.

We definitely have a chance. Is it greater than 50%? Who knows. But Trey doesn't even know where he is going yet. And he hasn't visited and seen our amazing facilities and what we have to offer. I think we will be big time contenders if he comes here on a visit.

Calling recruiting him a waste of time is ridiculous.

My point is, Iowa is the favorite, he has offers from everyone now. UCLA is interested and St. John's Steve Alvin is who he was tweeting about today. He was originally gonna be here this weekend for a visit and now it's pushed back a month and even then it's a maybe....

So he has said Iowa Nebraska and UAB are his current top three. Until you are out of the top three you don't stop pursuing a 4 star talent that tweets about Nebraska during games and wants to visit.

It's a maybe because he doesn't know if his team will still be playing playoff games or not. Do you want him to commit to coming on the visit even if he has a playoff game?

If his team is out of the playoffs, he is coming. If they still have a game, he isn't coming Wisconsin weekend and will come another time.

Still wondering how it is a waste of time.

So ... interesting news uneblinstu reported over on the main board.  We're taking a trip this summer.  Europe.  Or Australia.

Wowser.  That's pretty cool.  If I was a prospective recruit of a particular school that was planning on taking a big cool trip the summer after I commit there, that might really sway me to commit to that school.

Take Sai Tumalla for example.  I thought for sure he was going to pick Nebraska after the things he said about his official visit.  Even though some were thinking he'd follow his HS buddy to ASU.

But you know what I bet had a big influence on his decision?  ASU took a trip to CHINA this past summer.  And SAI WENT WITH THEM.  If you had a chance to go to China and play basketball internationally ON SOMEONE ELSE'S DIME, WOULD'T YOU WANT TO DO THAT?

I sure would.  I wonder if someone from Williston, ND is aware of our travel plans.

I'm absolutely certain they have been made known to him.
