Very active defender.  Got some dog in him.  He’s kind of like Burke but a little better at everything.

If he’d move those three point shots two feet closer to the line, he’d hit a higher percentage . . . just sayin’.

Very significant pickup. Gives us a chance to run a variety of lineups in 21-22 (assuming his waiver doesn't go through).

Hopefully they can land one more big (Sanogo or Jeff otchere) and if one of arop or cross leaves, they'll probably use their scholarship on another sit transfer.

I believe it was the OWH that also mentioned three bigs as possibilities.  Two of whom were transfers.

I wouldn't hold my breath,  seems the NCAA doesn't do us any favors in the play immeiately thing. But there is always hope.

This is worth reading.

Feels like he'll pair well with Keisei Tominaga

If we have enough at the PG this year without him I think we'd rather see him work on his game for a year

I like your point about pairing with Tominaga.  A couple of zone busters on the outside will really complement Mcgowen's game.    Plus he has a year to dial in the 3pt shot to self compliment his driving skills.   I wonder how many players were affected last year by the new 3 pt line and I wonder if shot % will inch back up overall?  Was impressed by how well McGowen played the passing lanes on D.

Looks like next year

A couple questions maybe someone on here can answer:

1. When the rule is enacted, does anyone know if it is a completely fresh start for everyone? For example, if you have already transferred and sat out your year, would you now be able to use your one time transfer w/ immediate eligibility?

2. Does this impact the grad transfer rule? Is it just one a one time transfer with immediate eligibility and thats it regardless of your academic status? Or could you, theoretically, use this one-time transfer w/ immediate eligibility and later down the road still be a graduate transfer?

While I agree with the logic, the concern I have is that he would be a year older and perhaps more likely to go NBA after a year(good problem if ready).  If he somehow gains eligibility this year, I think the odds of getting two out of him increase drastically.
