Don't think this is Rosenthal's transfer because:

1. This player is coming as a walk-on; and

2. Rosenthal seems to be referring to a scholarship player: "I can say this: Keep an eye on a midseason Division I transfer. Somebody that would fill the current vacant scholarship and would be eligible to play by the time NEXT Big Ten season starts."

Well he helps out the teams APR for the upcoming years. I read that the Gregg Whittington could possible be eligible sooner than people think. All depends on whether or not he is able to use a medical hardship for this year.

There is the mid semester transfer.

So that it where that sound comes from, I thought it was just something I heard in my bedroom.;)

Also was saying this was the kid as a smart a$$ response to what we thought/thinking is coming.

If I recall, he played for Chip Bahe and could score...

Insert Standhardinger joke here.

I don't get it

He said "insert"....how much more do you need for a Standhardinger joke?

The horn was not for your post, but instead for the disappointment I'm sure some would feel thinking this was the kid Rosenthal was tweeting about.  :)

He will not play for the Huskers. He has a walk on if he wants it but I don't believe he will. He's friends of a friend. Even if he walks on, will never see the court

Are we misreading this?  It seems like he's coming on the team as a preferred walk on type...not as a guy who declared he was going to walk on at Nebraska without talking to anyone.

Gotcha...I didn't know if this was some sort of Chip Bahe reference I didn't know about.
