Hooper Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 Robin Washut just put an update on Rivals via Peegs.com saying that 2015 4-star 6-2, 170-lb. DC point guard Bryant Crawford will be taking an unofficial visit to Lincoln Sept. 13-15. He'll take in the UCLA football game as well. Crawford is Rivals' #26-ranked player in the country for 2015 and he has a good relationship with Husker AC Kenya Hunter, who's tight with Crawford's AAU squad, Team Takeover. Crawford averaged 10 pts, 6 assists and 3 steals per game last year as a sophomore in high school. Great news! I love what Kenya Hunter is doing. Quote

kldm64 Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 Miles and staff are doing work!!! Quote
ShortDust Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 Impressive to get him to come here on his own dime. Never know what will happen down the road with this kid, but its good to get as many people here to see what we have to offer. Things will start to change. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 he is AMAZING. saw him last winter, I praised him then. He is LEGIT. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 Y'know, just pickin' up a little Elbert Robinson this year. A little Bryant Crawford next year. That's all. Just doin' our thing. Hey, be sure to keep a spot open for us on the dance card the next few years, OK? Quote
Norm Peterson Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 Holy SHRIT! Did I really just type that? We're getting visits with players we'd have only dreamed about two years ago. Who cares if it's an unofficial visit, he'll still be here. Man, if we sign even one of those two guys -- Robinson or Crawford -- I'll be running around like some teen girl who just bumped into Justin Bieber. OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG ... doc1394 1 Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 Heck Norm I was doing that when I found out about the State Fair concession stand at the PBA. Norm Peterson 1 Quote
Concrete Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 Hopefully there is serious interest here and not just a courtesy visit. I suppose we'll find out shortly after September 14. Regardless, getting these guys in for unofficials is impressive. I can't believe it. Quote

Concrete Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 I highly doubt he's actually paying for this. Not saying we are fronting the cost, but I'm sure there are some back channels being worked to help get him here without digging into his bank account. And I'm completely on board with that. Quote

Regardless, getting these guys in for unofficials is impressive. I can't believe it. A courtesy visit from DC to Lincoln, NE on his own dime? My thoughts exactly. If it were a visit to URI or Navy, George Mason...something like that, then yeah. Maybe a courtesy visit. But it's not like you can hop on the intercity and get to Lincoln or anything. Whats a few hundred dollars when you get a free education. Its funny you see it more in hoops than football. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 I know I talked about him from the tournament I saw this past winter. Speed up to the 0:38 mark to see him with some dunks and prolific ball handling. Also some unreal dunks from Arizona commit Aaron gordon on the reel as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFqGHT9ffuY Quote
FredsSlacks Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 PG will be a main priority for 2015 with Biggs gone and maybe Parker gone. Quote
lanigan123 Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Would dream about a commit this big time. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Would dream about a commit this big time. Would fit in well with Robinson, Bolden and Hammond. Hooper 1 Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 he will not be in town since Tim Miles isnt in town. Quote
ShortDust Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 Glad he cancelled, because well Tim wasn't here and the game today was good for one half. Quote
