Hell yeah.  Do what you gotta do to make room for a guy who averaged a double double.  I don't care what league.  He did it in college.  D1.  That kid could really tip the scales for us next year.  That little nudge that would get us over the top in close losses that would flip to wins.  Man, if Tim could make this happen, I would be a very happy ...

Atewho?

John Groce said high-caliber senior transfers are hotly recruited as if they were top-50 guys coming out of high school.

These guys are very coveted. Would be a great get.

What am I missing here. Wouldn't he have to sit out a year?

He went to NC State for 1 year and then transferred, he sat out the following year and then played 2 seasons for Tulane. That's four years. As long as he graduated in those four years he's free to go anywhere and play right away, correct? I guess as long as Tulane releases him? But if he's wanting to leave and he's graduated (wouldn't need scholarship money) would they even need to officially release him from scholarship?

does not need to be granted anything.  Hes a free agent.

hes a grad transfer. Hes the Russell Wilson we are looking for.

Lock him down. Why wouldn't a senior grad transfer come here? Best facilities anywhere and a lot of playing time.

Freaking awesome, Kamdyman. Why don't you go ahead and tweet him the link to the awesome video tour of Hendricks.

because senior grad transfers are huge.  Its a one year no risk high reward for any program.  I would bet he gets probably 20-30 offers easy.

If we actually want a shot at making the dance this coming season, we need to get this kid. We already have guys on the team that are somewhat similar to Sai.

Davis was 6'6 185 on his rivals page and is now 6'8 220. Definitely a late bloomer.

Still want Sai.  Make room.

Agree 100%.

You could have a lineup that looked something like

Starters

1-Biggs (6'0")

2-Petteway (6'6")

3-Shields (6'6")

4-Davis (6'8")

5-Pitchford (6'10")

1st off of Bench

1-Webster (6'3")

2-Gallegos (6'2")

3-Fuller (6'7")

4-Tummala (6'7")

5-Smith (6'8")

That would be a legit 10-man rotation.  It would be neat to see them play fast and push the ball up the floor alot.  Get out in transition and run.  Take advantage of all of the 6'5"-6'8" bodies on the floor.  And to take advantage of the legit 10-man rotation, it would be cool to see them do a platoon style system of substitution (5 in, 5 out) a few times each quarter almost like hockey.

Agreed. This is the type of senior transfer that can elevate us next year. It will unbelievably difficult to get him here.

GATA.

I agree that Nebraska could really use him, but I think they could use both.

We don't have room for both though.

Speculation that either Parker or Vucetic is leaving

Wouldn't they have already left by now? The next signing period is like 2 weeks away I think. They would need to leave pretty soon If we want to get both Josh and Sai.

Listen, Sai was good enough for us to offer.  And that's with a coach who says he doesn't like taking "reaches."  Which suggests to me that our impressions about his film were accurate.  The kid can play.  You've got a guy who shoots better than 40% from beyond the arc.  With a healthy number of attempts.  And he's 6'7" and athletic.

Then you've got a kid in Josh Davis who averaged a double-double at Tulane this past year.  Almost a double-double the year before.  Just a little shy on rebounds.

I'd say both of these would be upgrades over players currently on the roster and, if you can, somehow, you take both.
