I'll welcome you, abq. That said, I'm not sure I personally care about how the old Big 8 did in basketball this year. Hopefully we'll not have to worry about comparisons like this in two years. Hopefully.

We're also the only one who has stepped up a level in competition.  Everyone else is playing at a lower level since we left.

 

Pac 12 (Colorado) and SEC (Mizzou) are both worse than the old Big 12 (and Big 10) and the Big 12 is down.

Now the old Big 8 is spread out over 4 different conferences and we were in the best one, playing the 4th hardest schedule in the country, with an under-manned team.....so who really cares?

I think what is does show is that there is enough talent within the old big 8 footprint or enough draw to the footprint to put a team in the NCAA on a regular basis.  Hopefully our facilities and our staff's recruiting will allow us to get the cream of this talent.
