not a bad deal. Increase the yearly average by 180% and a chance for a sooner renewal than before.

I can't wait for that football game in Norman in 2021.

Speaking of Oklahoma... ;)    Hey, I didn't want to start a new thread for this, but you gotta check this out.  Watch what happens at the end of a H.S. game in Oklahoma.  On the line is a trip to the state tourney....

Just as poor of a decision as extending the Pepsi contract. #SlightSarcasm

Being a coke drinker I agree.  I have contacts with the local Coca Cola bottler.  They said that from what they heard Pepsi is pretty much giving away their product to the University, they make next to nothing with pretty much all of the $ going to UNL.  Coke said that they could not compete against that.

Call me crazy but I like adidas. I wasn't a big fan of the "special" football uniforms, but you win some you lose some.

I like it because my buddy designs shoes there and I get a yearly Nebraska package.  I dont want that to stop.

Wow.  You RULE!  That's among the coolest fringe bennies I've come across.  Introduce me to your buddy, would ya?  Hey, I think I could design shoes, too.  Three stripes?  Not a problem.

He's one of the NBA designers.  Basically whenever one of their NBA guys come to town they come to him and work on new designs, pitch stuff, etc.  Its funny he will be like yeah I went bowling the other night with Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose, and Jrue Holiday.  Its crazy how much he travels though.  He has to test all his new designs on NBA D-League guys so hes on the road there, or spend a week at Michigan, or UCLA, or Nebraska to talk with equipment staffs during the NBA off-season.

Great perk though as I got a FedEx shipment the other day with two pair of 14's of the new D-Rose in red and black because he thought they'd look good with my Nebraska stuff.

Adidas is who we should stay with for our apparel.  Avoid Phil Knight and Nike.

What do people have against Phil Knight? Are people aware the founder of Adidas was a Nazi? I'm not kidding.

So was Volkswagen but they make fine cars.

You are pretty correct with this.  I was an account manager with Coke at the time and Pepsi basically sold themselves to get the contract and we could not match.  There was a time when the campus was a split campus.  Coke had the rights to all the concessions and Pepsi had the rights to the vending services around campus.  The University put out that they were going to accept bids for an exclusive contract.  Coke just couldn't match what they offered.  It's all about $$$$$$.  It just didn't look like a smart business decision at the time to match or exceed what Pepsi had offered.
