I’m sorry, I want to be positive because we just won our first NCAA game in a decade.

But that was the 9th place team from the SEC playing without their best interior player, and we were very fortunate to win. I really didn’t like the way we played today

No question we were bad tonight, got lucky.  Hopefully we’ll play much better against OSU.   We know we can.

The propensity for the 'lazy pass' against aggressive defense kind of reared its ugly head again.  aTm was pretty bad on the offensive end except for the 1 girl.  Seemed like Nebraska didn't really even try to make any adjustments to slow her down.  She single-handedly brought them back and Nebraska didn't have much of a response.  aTm was long and fairly quick, so it wasn't the greatest matchup for NU.  It's not going to get any easier so they need to work on 40 minutes of consistent play.  Hopefully, some of the less than stellar play can be attributed to nerves.

I know zippo about the Beavers, but have to hope Shelley comes to play.  She was pretty much a non-factor in this one.  White looked good - looks like she's back near 100%.  Nissley obviously had a nice game.  Markowski did well after the early foul trouble.

Thank the basketball gods for the aTm guard with the idiotic game-winning extended length hug on Nissley.  You have to be pretty obvious about grabbing and holding the player to get the Stooges to blow the whistle in that situation, and she was.  They had no choice.  Monumental bonehead play to allow Nebraska to escape the epic collapse.

OSU is fairly big, they 13 players and 10 of them are over 6 foot.

Corvallis, Ore. - Logan Nissley and Jaz Shelley sank crucial free throws in the final seconds to help Nebraska capture a 61-59 win over Texas A&M in the first round of the NCAA Women;s Basketball Tournament at Gill Coliseum on Friday night.

Nissley's two free throws free throws with 14.7 seconds gave Nebraska the lead back at 60-59 after the Aggies had erased a 17-point second-half deficit to take their second lead of the night at 59-58. Nissley, a 6-0 guard from Bismarck, N.D., led the Huskers with 16 points, including four big three-pointers to help the Huskers build an early lead.

Shelley's free throw with two seconds left pushed the margin to two and a desperation three by Endyia Rogers missed everything as time expired to give Nebraska its first NCAA Tournament win since 2014. The Huskers also gave Coach Amy Williams her first NCAA Tournament victory as a head coach.

Haven't ben able to post, but did watch the game.

A&M's speed on defense was hard to over come. They were set up to neutralize Jazz and it worked for them. Fortunately their offense was erratic and not efficient. Then one player almost won it by herself in the second half.

We got a 17 point lead then the musical chairs started. So much for the lead in the second half.  We got handled in the 4th.

The storage stats....

Both of the high scorers for us,  Markowski and Nissley only played a little over half the game. Would think you would want to utilize them more. Markowski ended up with 3 fouls.

Also I thought Moriarty played well in the first part of the game...then she just disappeared. Hit a 3 then gone to the splinters of the bench.

Could have used her quickness both on the offense and defense more.

A&M looked like the Rutgers of the past, but bigger. And if possible, fouled more.

Oregon is a much different type of team. Hopefully we match up better....and our offense is more effective.  And....after the lay off, is much more into the flow.... and when they're so dangerously good
