Defending Keisei seems to be pretty easy without the ball.  Just grab his jersey all game.  The refs will not call it.  I would like to see what Keisei could do if they called it early in a game.

This times 100%. And for some reason, the refs don’t call it and our coaching staff somehow accepts it. If I were Fred I’d turn into a whiny little Mac and get I. The officials grill until they watched for it every possession.

Eat your meal, get on the plane come home and get ready for Purdue. Hope the weather holds up for us to have a good crowd.
Long season can’t eat this game beat us Tuesday.

Yup. Forget this and move on. Ran into a buzz saw tonight that's all. Heck one might await you. Just keep on keepin' on.

Three ways to beat that:

(1) skin tight jersey

(2) tear away Jersey from the 70’s the football team should have a couple left over from the game of the Century.

(3) spray his Jersey with cooking oil🤫

One possession early in the second half I noticed our defenders were all out on the three point line defending and I wondered if we were switching up our look to try something else out.

Which made me wonder, will we ever incorporate a defensive scheme change to try and stop momentum in games like this when we need a catalyst? And if not, why not?

omg, the early 80s mesh jersies the scoring explosion used to wear....especially Rozier. I remember seeing Mike close up in that infamous cut off he used to wear and the holes were big enough to stick fingers thru and if you did, the thing ripped like paper. damn, I miss 80s college football.

We tried laying off the post doubles at times and got bullied in the paint.

Switching to zone is not usually the way you would try to slow down a team thats shooting well from deep.

I didn’t think we were trying a zone. I said it looked like we were sticking closer to players. Not playing space or anticipating passes. I actually thought it looked like we were trying to play a tight man to man and just couldn’t or weren’t ready to because it hadn’t been practiced or practiced enough.

I’m mostly just musing about if the ways we’ve found success defensively since around this time last year have been scouted enough that teams with capable shooters, like Creighton and Wisconsin, have figured out how to exploit it and are beating us by letting us do what we try to do.

Also a zone can be a useful tool to slow down hot shooting teams. It can leave you about half a rotation behind the ball instead of a full rotation if you have practiced it and have the spacing down.
