It's amazing to think of the dedication and commitment of a kid who's willing to skip his entire senior season to compete against grown men on a Big Ten roster in Lincoln. That alone is impressive enough, then you stack up the workout regimen and the shooting prowess, NU will benefit immensely from having a dude lead the way in having things together at an early age. Got a steal with this one. He will be our Tamin Lipsey. Probably won't start as a freshman like Lipsey did, but he could if he had to. I'm very confident in his abilities translating to the next level.

I think we got steals with both of our ‘23 high school recruits as well as both ‘24 recruits.

Semi-crazy thing: Next year, we'll have 3 shooting guards who are lefties. And I don't mean Sek Henry kind of lefty. I mean guys who have decent left-handed shooting mechanics where it's not painful to watch them shoot.

Speaking of which, watching Indiana the other night, I was somewhat thankful Xavier Johnson decommitted so I didn't have to watch his dreadful shooting form for four years.

Yes, watching X the past couple of years, I was very thankful he wasn't N after all. If any of the Husker lefties become a great in-game shooter, that's a huge win for Nebrasketball. Now, if 2 of 'em are to become great in-game shooters, that's a tourney-quality squad they'll be a part of, in my opinion.

Talked to some Wisconsin fans awhile back. Some thoughts.
Janowski and Duke signee Kon Knueppel have been the top two ‘24 players in the state since they were in middle school.  Wisconsin fans wanted both of them. Nick had no interest in Wisconsin. They say if you grow up in Wisconsin and you don’t love the badgers then you probably hate them. Makes sense to me.

A little over two years ago Nick was a borderline 5 star and Knueppel was unranked nationally. Fast forward to now and Knueppel is a 5 star and Nick has dropped into the 100s. Maybe due to injury history (was injured last year but still first team all-state) and the fact that he stopped growing his freshman year (still good size for a college guard). Nick’s team has won three straight state titles and he’s been the best player since sophomore year. They knocked Knueppel out of the playoffs last year. Knueppel’s team beat Pewaukee this year. Nick had 31 and Knueppel had 21. These folks talked like Nick usually gets the best of Knueppel in their matchups. Nick is going to end up being one of the most productive players in the history of the state. Career 60+% FG, 45+% 3FG.

This kid is going to be a star at the college level and I’m glad it’ll be at Nebraska. He played pg for his aau team and has high level vision and feel for the game. Obviously an elite shooter. And by all accounts his work ethic and competitiveness are his greatest strengths.

Love all the info, miller. And the part about getting the best of the state's best player means that Nick is the ultimate competitor, and the PG part would be a HUGE benefit to NU in the ball-handling dep't. going forward. GBR

Love it I have dreams of him being a much better shooing Volek from Marquette.

Today I learned that one of Nick’s teammates last year is starting as a true freshman for #11 Iowa State and averaging 13 ppg. Interesting.

Every day I'm liking this NU connection. Maybe we can finally turn the corner with the program with the high level prospects along with returnees already on the team. GBR

It helps to be consensus top 50 recruit. Milan is a baller.
