Not wasting any time, are they?

Nope but they can't afford to waste time this year.  Kind of where Frost was when he came in that first year.

Well... NCAA is trying to screw up the grad transfer route.  Would penalize a college 1 scholarship if a student grad transfers there and doesn't earn a degree in year 1.

Uhhh wait...If a kid is a "grad" transfer, doesn't that mean he has already earned his degree???

Yes, correct, sorry... if they didn't earn the Grad Degree in year 1.

Right.  Like they’re supposed to get a masters in one year?  If the NCAA is so worried about them finishing... maybe require schools to provide academic compensation at the end of their playing career.  Don’t punish the universities a scholarship.

Sounds like the NCAA is trying to fix a loophole with another regulation. Typical ridiculousness from that organization.

What kind of degree can you a Masters in in 1 year?

Most Masters are only 30 credits. You have summer fall and spring to get those 30 credits. Very doable

Masters usually takes two years but thats for us working folks are only going part time (nights/weekends).

Was a full time student and it took me every bit of 2 years to get mine.  Granted I had two field seasons that some degrees don't require.

There is too much inconsistency in length of time required to get different degrees at different schools for this to pass.  Plus it is written by little guy conference that tends to lose good players rather than get them. Don’t see this passing as written.

Cam Mack is a name to watch. 6'3 JUCO PG from Salt Lake CC with three years to play. Was committed to Johns and recruited by Matt A. He decommitted today.

Article from when he committed: https://www.zagsblog.com/2018/11/19/st-johns-adds-juco-point-guard-cameron-mack/

https://slccbruins.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=1573
Finished the season averaging 19.1/ppg/ 33% from 3PT/ 45% FG and 65% Freethrow.

Doesnt say his assist average but he had quite a few games with double digit assists.

This seems good for at least one of them to end up here if not both.  Mack was supposed to be St. John's PG of the future with Ponds going pro.
