Attention Nebraska Fans

For those who may not have watched last night: A couple of hundred fans stalked out of the KU/WV game to vent their displeasure at a very lackluster Jayhawk performance on a late weekday night and to beat the crowd leaving the parking lots (always a problem). This sparked moans and whines from Dicky V. (as only he can do) that went something like "OOOH NO, NOT AT ALLEN FIELDHOUSE. SHOW SOME RESPECT FOR THESE KIDS! DON'T DO THIS! OOOOOH NO!" The score was something like 64-50 in favor of the Mountaineers with 2:45 to go. Final Score: KU 84, WV 80.

I stayed up and watched it and glad the people who left early missed out on an awesome comeback by the Hawks last night.  Allen Fieldhouse is a special place and the arena was going absolutely bonkers!!!  Sure hope the losers who left early enjoyed listening to the rest of the game on their radio on their way home instead of being there so they could get to bed 10 minutes earlier.

Allen Field House is a special place no doubt. My buddy tutored the team back in '90 and got us seats right behind the Huskers bench. All the Jayhawk students kept yelling, "Hey Lively, why don't you live'n up your team?"

Watched the last eight minutes of the game.  I was as amazed as Dickie V.  KU administration may have scanned those who left, and they may end up getting their tickets taken away

Reminds me of a game against KU at Devaney in the 90's that we came back from down 16 with just a few minutes to go to force OT and then eventually win.

 

The "C" level seats were half empty for the OT...

At the classic overtime game against Oklahoma at the Big 8 tournament in KC, we had a bunch of fans leave, and then come back during the overtime.  Keith Moody, you are my hero!

Just a short follow up...I thought the crowd was pretty decent last night, especially for a Valentine Night encounter.  It was perhaps at the peak in two instances...Jack's half court shot and after Isaiah's back-to-back dunks.
