Teams with length at their guard spots give us fits and defense was non existent today. Putting pressure on the ball handlers is the recipe against Nebraska.4 points

Seems like it should be a good night for us beside Illinois. Ore st got win 20, St Mary got Gonzaga again, Ore wins, and numerous bubble teams lose. Get that win Monday and we will be sitting really well.4 points -
Wash had us well scouted. They shut off our perimeter, double teamed inside,....we were out coached overall. They were prepared and wanted this more than we did,...and played like it. Give them credit when due. Our turnovers and slow slow defense...really was so apparent today. We were a step slow time after time.3 points

Very good points. I’m not to worried about Illini yet. If they beat Iowa at home (jinx off) they should stay Q1 so I think we will have 5 Q1 wins which is still better than most of those bubble teams behind. I still feel pretty confident with 2 more wins but would not call it a lock by any means. I’m sure there will be a lot of changes in these last 2 weeks so we better just take care of our own business and win our way in.3 points -
We just don’t play smart team D most of the time. UW killed us with back doors and drives to their right, especially Ladine. Defense 101 says ‘take away the right hand of a righty.’ Didn’t happen. Add in low energy D in the 2nd half and we’re blown out at home on senior day. We need a major infusion of quickness for next year, as well as a serviceable replacement for Markowski.2 points

Interesting bubble games in the Big 10 with Indiana and Ohio State having gigantic opportunities. Rooting interests are complex. Both teams are behind Nebraska on most seed lists so wins by either or both creates a bigger bubble. Losses will have a marginal negative impact on our metrics. For those that fear about wins/losses becoming Q2, the committee splits Q1 and Q2 into two. So, you will have Q1A and Q1B wins and losses and Q2A and Q2B wins and losses. So the difference between a Q1B win versus a Q2A win probably isn't as significant as some think and likely not worth stressing whether Ohio St stays Q1 or Q2. If I knew we would beat Michigan tomorrow, I would lean towards rooting for Indiana and Ohio St. Not knowing our outcome, I will lean towards rooting against both Indiana and Ohio St. picking up good wins. Let's keep that bubble soft. But really just Beat Michigan and let's control our own fortunes.2 points -

Maybe AFTER the game but it looks like crap on TV seeing all the people rushing to get out of PBA before the game is over. That's one of the reasons they did that.2 points -

Not a Husker opponent, but UNO clinched at least a share of the Summit title last night for the first time - can win it outright with one more win in a game they'll be heavily favored at home. If they win the regular season title outright, they get 2 chances to make the NCAA tourney - win the Summit tourney themselves or have second-place St. Thomas win the Summit tourney - The Tommies are ineligible for the NCAA tourney while they transition to D-1 , so UNO would go as the regular season champ. If they go, UNO is right on the edge of being one of the four lowest 16 seeds - as a bottom four seed, they'd be in Dayton & give them a roughly 50/50 shot at winning a game. I think they'll be seeded a little too high to end up in Dayton if they make the NCAAs, but if, say, they get upset in the Summit quarters and St. Thomas wins the whole thing, UNO could drop into one of those last four 16 seeds.2 points -

Yori always seem to have one or two guards that were 6 ft Hank could handle the length of the other team at guard. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk1 point -

Saw during the Wisky-UO game yesterday that the last time every B1G team won at least 5 conference games was 2014. Could happen again this year, although we're playing 20 games now instead of 18 -- and there are a few more teams. Hard to believe PU ever finished last with Painter in charge ... but it's actually happened twice in his time there.1 point

Just based on rumor mill, word-of-mouth kind of thing, I understand it might be more likely that Frager starts than Janowski. We'll probably be looking for a portal point if we have NIL money to go after one.1 point -
A season's worth of terrible baseball in one afternoon. Pretty telling that the only hitter who did anything today was a freshman. Horn was solid, as were a couple of freshmen on the bump. Otherwise, really bad all the way around. Our veteran guys are not carrying their weight right now at the plate or on the mound. Margin for error is gone now. Need huge performances next weekend and against Oregon St -- plus dominate the midweeks -- to have any hope of being a regional host. It's not over, but it's in serious trouble already. Just awful after we had set ourselves up for a great day with last night's win and how deep we got into ULL's bullpen. But we never threatened to take advantage of it. Made things very easy on ULL.1 point

There are no bad teams in the Big Ten. That's pretty amazing, actually. The ACC has Miami (2-13, 6-20) and only nine teams over .500 in all games. The Big XII is pretty strong, but Colorado (1-14, 10-16) sucks serious hind teat. The Big East still has DePaul (2-14, 11-16) and Seton Hall (2-13, 7-19) has struggled mightily. Hell, even the SEC has South Carolina (0-13, 10-16). The last-place Big Ten team right now is Washington (4-11, 13-13). Rutgers (6-10, 13-14) is the only squad with a losing overall record.1 point -

From down 17 to winning in OT, that's quite a statement. Oregon 77-73 over Wisc. Reminded me of the prior 2 seasons in which Nebraska downed Wisc. in Lincoln1 point -

Those games at Northwestern have with USC, and UCLA could have seeding implications it's not fair to the other teams that played USC, and UCLA do not have Northwestern play them. Northwestern could have played those games when those fires were going on all the other teams that were scheduled to play out on the West Coast seem to be able to do it. As another data point, Fan Duel has the odds of Nebraska making the tournament at -490. Meaning, you have to wager $490 to win a measly $100. This is an implied probability of 83% of Nebraska making the tournament according to one book in Vegas. Conversely, if you would like an emotional hedge, you can also wager on Nebraska not making the NCAA tournament at +325 odds. We're in good shape. Beat Michigan on Monday and this becomes close to a moot point. Lose to Michigan and then beat the teams you should. I think most of us would have signed up for this scenario at the beginning of the year!1 point -

Patrons site lines were compromisedwihen people left early. Also, some fans leaving created security problems when they lingered and/or walked near the benches. Heck, this year there was a security issue when a fan approached the visitors bench. Folks, security is an inconvenience until it matters. Bad shit happens if you are not prepared.1 point
