I grew up going to the Golden Gloves at the Civic in Omaha & to Smokers on the weekends anywhere from Blue Hill to Ord.

Man I miss it. I remember watching Tuesday Night Fights on USA as a kidnearly every week. Grew up watching Tyson. Saw almost all his fights. Thought that slime ball Don King was the coolest. He was to a child anyway .The adults would all pool the cost for the PPV and it was always a big fun party. Us kids would eat all the potluck food and have a blast. Never got into MMA. Personally I think it sucks. This fight has me flooded with nostalgia...Even if it's the greastest has been ever and a YouTube douche.

I'm kind of in that group, and the reason why is I think Mast is a bigger loss off last year's squad than Keisei. Rienk is like the ideal Hoiberg system guy. In other words, Keisei is fun and the ultimate showman, but Mast is the one that actually makes it all work.

St. Mary's has two 7' 1" guys and a 6' 10" guy.

I hate this circus…but I will most definitely watch. I think a knockout is unlikely and if Tyson can’t get him in the first two rounds, Paul will outlast him in a hug fest. Paul will play it super safe. There’s a good chick fight on the undercard.

It's the give and the take. Those defensive stats look pretty good. You're right about having a shooter like that on the roster. But one does not simply replace a Keisei Tominaga. I mean how many have we had like that ever? Edit - And to be clear I'd build my whole team around Tominaga if I could

While I wouldn’t have an issue when any of those 5 in crunch time (especially with Hoiberg switching for defense with Essegian), there is no chance that Bryce is not included in crunch time of a close game.

The lineup I wouldn't mind seeing in crunch time... is coincidentally our top +/- for the season.

Well, I'm already slacking on Week 1. Self-inflicted expectations. Just wanted to mention that we emptied the bench in this one in terms of playing Henry Burt and Jeffrey Grace. That means that Braden Frager, Nick Janowski, and Justin Bolis have maintained their redshirt eligibility.

I was wondering how I was dead last when I only missed the actual score by a total of 6 points...then noticed I mixed up the names on my prediction. People must've thought I was on crack predicting 10 non-con wins (and 23 overall) AFTER a 14 point opening loss to UTRGV. I would like to apologize to everyone who forgot to predict the first game because my error inadvertently added 30 points to your score. My bad!

Odd. Good catch. I have exactly what you mention in my records, but must have been a bad copy/paste. It pasted the first 53 scores but not the 57 total. You also might not have checked the fine print in the rules: * If Noah121 misses a prediction for the first game of the season, that participant is automatically disqualified. However, if Noah121 protests the leaderboard standings and provides the exact appropriate score, that participant is reactivated into the leaderboard standings.

6'10" Blake Daberkow is playing for Idaho St after two years of juco. He was a teammate of Sam's at Pius X in Lincoln. Happen to see him when catching the end of the Idaho St - USC game that the Bengals almost pulled out. Probably doesn't project as a power 5 guy but maybe someone to monitor because of his height, ability to shoot 3s, and potential desire to play for his home town college.
